So after taxes, your agent and maybe a few personal purchases let’s say 85k. Rookie ball you get about 20k a year. So he is going to likely be living in an apt with 5 other dudes, eating like crap and getting paid next to nothing.

The Rays signed their 10th round pick for $500!!! Both MLB.com and Baseball America have the same number so it must be true. I’ve never seen a draft pick sign for that amount.

Looked him up. Senio sign, numbers weren’t good either. It has a fastball that is 96-99 and a mid 80’s slider. They basically said take it or leave it you are a project but we are intrigued.

I know last year they gave Ryan Prager 1 million to come back. His slot value in the 3rd round of the 2024 draft was 980k
