2025 MLB Draft

Who tf is this guy at Missouri State

haha. I saw his name on a few draft lists midway through the year so i looked him up. He's an outlier. Just a kid who stayed home and has all the tools. 6'6 210, runs really well has pop. K's a bit much looking at stats.

Saw he was a 3B but they have him leading off and playing CF a lot. Basically Missouri St verson of Mason Greenhouse - but Greenhouse has even more ability and potential

Nice seeing LSU get ****ed in the draft

I wonder if that’s an incentive to commit to programs that pay big money to use as leverage against MLB clubs?

Can't hurt, but they also singed their 1st three round picks for $2MM+ under slot.

And they signed their 8 - 10 round picks for $7,500, $2,500 and $2,500 - all 4 Yr Jr's and Sr's, of course. And I'm sure the Braves aren't alone in that regard.

Be interested to see the tweaks they make to his swing and how his approach adapts as he learns the game more. He clearly has some holes in his swing (what 16-18yr old doesn’t). Should move through rookie ball fairly quick. But he’s going to get exposed in high A if he doesn’t learn to hit LH breakin balls and Velo away.l from either side. But he’s a big boy with some serious juice and will only get stronger.

They also signed Danny M, according to his IG Bio, not officially announced yet

Griffin Hugus signed an under slot deal at $640k

Danny Macchiarola signed an under slot deal at $175k

It’s going to really **** me off if we can’t sign Easton Marks
Yea, but its mostly on Marks. Hugus should be a prime example of raising your value with a year being in weekend starter for the canes in the acc and hopeful post season run. He really thinks signing for $150k now is better than coming to campus for maybe $50k and raising his stock and get sign for $300-450k next year??? And heck, throw in a one year ford raptor rental and morgan wallen concert tickets. Lets get it done!

Hugus had another year of eligibility so he had leverage with the MLB draft.

That’s more on Miami for being so cheap, expecting a weekend rotation to lead your staff for $50k is joke
