2025 MLB Draft

Let's hope it's because they expressed their desire to go to school, or they are betting on themselves? I thought this was a highly regarded class.

There’s a couple top end talent, but the rest of the class is going to have to be developed

No, he doesn't, brother, he hit 2 HR's this season. Dylan will be a good player, but saying he has Cuvet power is a stretch
According to Baseball America he has 55 power, now I might have overstated his power compared to Cuvet but he will hit for power here regardless. His biggest issue is his hit tool, which is probably why his total was so low.

Only 1 recruit getting drafted is wild for a program like Miami

We now have literally our entire class coming to campus, so it’s time to develop the players you wanted

Have to do much better in recruiting for 2027 class

Gotta disagree with that comment given our history. Miami's fall from dominance was due in large part because our recruiting classes were too elite. We signed top ranked classes almost every year. Then got raided by the draft. Signing guys like Yelich & Castellanos means nothing if you dont get them to campus.

This class is a great recruiting job in terms of position players. Someone like Dubrovik is essentially a 5* talent in terms of players who actually make it to college.

I do agree the pitching class needs to be better, but most of the best teams in the country are just plucking their top arms from the portal

It’s perception of your program, you want the top kids that want to sign with you and it trickles down from there.

Again, that's not how it works.

Getting top recruits like Yelich, Castellanos, Almora - etc, I guess that helped with perception. But there was no "trickle down". We didnt have a backup plan when they signed.

Only when DiMare returned and they started putting in the work to sign that next tier of good, but not elite recruits did recruiting improve

Again, that’s how elite programs work

Not all elite guys sign with MLB, so you’re they’re fall back plan

Kids look at other elite recruits committed to your program and they want and see you must be doing something right

Going 10 years without a Super Regional isn’t doing a **** thing correctly
