Had a very long comment on Evans as to why, frankly, I would push him to sign if a team had a $250k offer (I believe that was the number I had him on, I don’t think it was $200k) for him this year during that discussion. I left the draft of the note too long and it’s no longer here.
Back to the bolded, cited Palm due to that transition, noting it was highly impressive but also that his track record was already there in relief. Evans; not so much. Age leverage as well.
That being said, Evans has some juice untapped and as a lefty that is super appealing but it’s a very cloudy eight ball in fallback to relief comparatively for clubs if starting isn’t in the cards.
My 2¢; I haven’t been exposed to all of his mechanics the same way I was able to watch Palm, Rosario, and some others.
