I agree with you, but I’m curious to hear your reasoning
All the options he has in front of him at this point is greater than anything Miami can offer him in our current state. Let’s say Miami hired Mario in 2018 you have a great shot at Hartline. His career as a oc or greater will have taken off by the time Miami is rolling again…..and he’s been approached by Miami before lol

Serious, legitimate question:

Bags aside, why would any legitimate WR or QB want to come here?

I'm not asking to be snarky or anything either. Like, what's our sales pitch?

Well, “bags aside” is a rather large caveat. Why would a guy living in a place like Dallas take a job in Des Moines? Money is the driving force behind the majority of decisions people make.

But if you want to just pretend like money doesn’t exist, you get to live and go to school in Miami, Florida at a wonderful, private university on a gorgeous campus in a place where some of the best facilities in the country are being built.

We got highly ranked QBs and WRs to come here when guys like Patrick Nix and James Coley were calling the offense and the facilities looked like a middle school portable annex. Why wouldn’t they come now?

Not if your offense isn’t designed to throw deep or outside. Big difference in OSU’s WR’s routes vs. Gattis 10 yard game plan.
Just like kids don’t come for records they won’t come for scheme eventually. Just recruit at a rampant pace and they will come same like elites that went to bama with a caveman offense

Just wire him the bag intended for Iniss as a downpayment. Can’t let him leave
This would all be a lot easier with wins and a decent, respectable offense. Not everything needs to be tooth and nail difficult, but here we are, unable to attract outside (non slot) HS or Portal WR recruits.

This one won’t be an easy close.

Said noles and Ohio state in top 2 after watching noles bowl game. Close with Edwin Joseph.
Dang... Would be nice to get one of these S.Fla 5*s to commit early and be a class ambassador.

But that's just one of those things that won't happen until we start winning again.

And especially with offensive players until Mario can overcome his reputation.

It’s going to take a **** of a bag to get ANY outside receiver to play here. It’s essentially a death knell to your career to play outside under Gattis. In two years, we have added literally one outside receiver to our roster and he was a JUCO project.

December is a long way off ... even signing day in February 2023 is down the road a bit. Let's see who our OC is at the end of January. Simply cannot believe that UM is making the investments in this program that it is ... and will sit idly by with arguably the worst OC in the ACC.

I hope you’re right. If they hire a real coach, maybe we can sign QBs and WRs again but until that happens nobody is going to want to play here.

There’s no argument when it comes to the worst OC in the ACC. Well…maybe the guy Virginia brought in.
