Would Bethea be Canes highest rated recruit ever?
Still too early to tell because ratings/rankings can change over the course of the high school season. However, as of right now he looks to be the highest rated recruit Miami has ever gotten. Off the top only 5-star guys I know that signed with Miami coming out of high school were Darius Rice, Dequan Jones, and Lonnie Walker. Dewan Hernandez (fka Huell) was a McDonald's All-American so he might have also been a 5-star.

This back court will pair so nicely with the Boozers

DeQuan was a 5 star? Not doubting you at all but .... ludicrous for a Guard/Wing who couldn't hit the proverbial broadside of a barn to be able to get that high a rating. The raters must never have seen him do anything but drive and dunk.

Technically, he was ranked #17 and was a 4-star, but he would have been a 5-star by today's standard. The data on Darius Rice is a little sketchy, but he, too was ranked in the top 20. Bruce Brown and Lonnie Walker were both ranked in the 20's.
