I can't find the desire to root for any team other than the Marlins. I guess I am stuck as a Marlins fan.
The farm system is looking promising for starting pitching.
Noble Meyer, Thomas White, and Milbrandt look the part. White and Meyer have front-of-the-rotation stuff. Max Meyer got hammered a bit, but they are taking it slowly with him. He is another with great potential to be an everyday major leaguer.
Outside of Mesa, no position players are even remotely close to being big-league-ready. I would expect him to get called up soon.
Dillon Head must be developed, but he can be a future star.
Eury and Sandy will return next year, and with the emergence of Weathers, we have a solid three. I trust Mel to have the back end of the rotation solid, too.
With this surplus of pitching, the Marlins must maximize the trade deadline. Ideally, we need an SS and a C, good defensive players in these positions, to follow the Giant's blueprint of their WS runs.
What we get for Luzardo and Scott will dictate how next year will go.
Last year was fun, but it's back to the norm of looking forward to selling at the trade deadline.
