So he’s average in coverage as a backer and you want to move him to safety. Please make this make logical sense.Bissainthe needs to moved to SS, average in coverage and too small to LB

Plus we should have some games we can get young guys off the bench just because of the score but with the 4 game exception every freshmen should play some unless they are injured or we are in a dogfight every game, which would not be a good sign. There's no infatuation. Just FACTS. You don't gain experience by sitting on the bench. What good is having a player get to his 3rd year and he hasn't seen the field? Most of CIS would still say we need a portal player because the 3rd year guy doesn't have experience.
You gain experience by playing. There should be a natural progression of game reps and trust. Game reps + solid play = more game reps.
I'm sure Mario want to make a serious playoff run to a natty in 2025. You can't go into the 2025 season with a bunch of talented 3rd and 4th year players with no experience.
He’s actually the perfect type of player in a 3-3-5 to stand up and rush the passer. Dont know if he’d be ready for all that in Year 1, but it’s a good fit for him long term. And, we have two 280 pound DEs, so…I know D$ said that Pickett would play LB in an earlier edition of The Bank however according to Pickett Sr. He may have somewhat of a hybrid type role where he is at either DE or OLB depending on the front etc.
Unless he’s shooting up at A or B gap, he’s really ineffective against the run. And most strong safeties today play inside the box.So he’s average in coverage as a backer and you want to move him to safety. Please make this make logical sense.
This is exactly what I had in mind when I mentioned OLB. I agree 100% that he is perfect as a stand up pass rusher in the 3-3-5. I also agree that it's questionable that he would be ready year 1 because he is a true freshman and did not EE. Still I have a gut feeling that there is something special about this kid and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him contribute early. Still that is a lot to ask and a very tall order for any freshman not EE.He’s actually the perfect type of player in a 3-3-5 to stand up and rush the passer. You consider Kelly to be an edge hybrid guy? I always considered him to be a DE all the way.I just want to say we should look out for the edge/hybrid guys Malik Bryant & Booker Pickett Jr & Nyjalik Kelly. Miami played a lot of 3-3-5 last year with off-ball linebackers playing on the EDGE!
While we'll probably prototype for two off-ball linebackers in this formation, there leaves a need for someone who can play edge and is decent in coverage.
Who will be the starting edge? Who will be the spelling edge?
My prediction is Nyjalik Kelly & then Booker Pickett Jr.
I didn't know they had Chase behind Kiko at MLB. I thought the coaches decided to put Malik Bryant at MLB as well last off season but I'm not sure Bryant is a MLB. Bryant should be coming off the edge so I like him better at OLB. I also like Chase better at Will but if he stays behind Kiko and cements that spot as the primary backup at MLB then Chase Smith will likely inherit the role played by Cory Flagg last season as well as set himself up to have the inside track to be the starter at MLB in 2025.
Whoever said that this LB room is about to get crazy is absolutely right. You think it's crazy now? Wait until the 2025 kids come in with Melendez and what is sure to be 2 more studs. The competition will be absolutely insane! Talk about cream rising to the top? This is what we need at every position. We are starting to see it at DE and RB will be there soon.

I like his disposition; him and Bobby.
So he’s average in pass coverage, ineffective against the run. He’ll just be a slow strong safety that can’t tackle or cover. Might as well move him to edge rusher, or only on blitz packagesUnless he’s shooting up at A or B gap, he’s really ineffective against the run. And most strong safeties today play inside the box.
