Hunter certainly had some big moments, but he was a super inefficient scorer. I'd rather add a more veteran PG to the roster, like Pack or Young.

IMO you need a PG who can score but also be a ball distributor as well.

You want a guy who can create his own shot & score when necessary, but also be a Floor General that run the offense & make smart decisions with the ball late in games. That can set guys up for open looks from 3 or get easy high percentage shots at the basket off Pick & Roll drives. Just a PG that plays with good IQ & understands the game, those types are vital come Tournament time, especially if you’re not a traditional stacked team like the Kansas/Duke’s of the world.

It doesn’t seem we’ve put out any feelers in terms of interest for the high level scorer Antoine Davis from Detroit Mercy.

But, Grant Sherfield from Nevada, Tyrese Hunter, Yuri Collins & Nijel Pack would all be perfect fit s for us.

He's an undersized, un-athletic player who you can't really slot into a position group because he can't shoot the ball

He is very athletic. His rebounding, blocks, and steals numbers (%) are evidence of that. He's just not an elite enough athlete to overcome all of the other deficiencies in his game.

With the lack of slots, you don't take a flyer on underclassman who averaged exactly 0.0 ppg

The kid played 2 more minutes in college basketball last year than everybody on the board did. 5 guys on the roster will have never played a minute. Make the too young for L jokes if you wish but experience and production is what he should be targeting with 7 players from the sophomore and freshman class on the 2022-2023 roster.
