I live in his hometown and follow the Gophers just as closely as I do Miami. The expectation up here is that it is a matter of when he joins the Gophers and not if.

He's been up here since late January dealing with some fairly significant family health issues.

If we land Omier and Wong indeed comes back, this squad has the chance to be legit. The main remaining questions would be point guard - if we don't land someone in the portal, are Joseph/Beverly good enough to take on that role? And I'd also be concerned about our 3 point shooting. But other than that, this team can be really good.

Job application is still on Hoopdirt.com and school site as of last night. It's called assistant coach 1, but I have no idea what that means. I think Bill Courtney could replace Caputo as associate head coach, but the title on the job app makes me wonder.
