Hasn’t aTm, and even Miami, shown that you still have to coach up the kids you recruit?

At the FCS level, he had the Yankees and he was playing against AA teams.

Maybe he will be a success, but I’m skeptical until I see it on the field. 50/50 success vs disaster IMO.

Art Briles wasn't that far removed from the HS game when He got the job at UH...Paul Brown made the jump from HS to College...and just recently, Trent Dilfer made the jump from HS to College.

Like I said, it's a small sample size, but it's been done before.

And BTW, Deion was also a HS HC at 2 schools prior to becoming a HS OC.

Malzahn also went from HS HC to Ark OC.

We’re playing Miami. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say Miami wins in a close one.

All hypothetical games aside. As i sit here tonight, it is HARD to see how this will be a better team next year. It is going to take a lot of doing between potential new hires and the portal. Even a top 5 recruiting class doesn’t really pay dividends next year. It really sucks to think about.

The guys you mentioned all went to G5 first, no?

Wittingham and DeBour are coaches I respect. Prime is not.

Briles is the only one with College experience. Went from a HS HC, to RB coach at TT for 2 years, to the HC at Houston. And I like Wittingham, too, thought we should've hired Him after we fired Shannon.
