2023 Hypothetical Opening Game Canes -VS- Colorado

A good chunk of what is discussed on this board is hypothetical and speculative but this is just so beyond that.

Why don't we discuss who would win if the Buffs brought back Rashaan Salaam to play tailback?
 
Deion went from HS OC to FCS HC, and has only 3 years experience there. He has coached in as many FBS games (as assistant or HC) as I have. I don’t get the fascination.

Hasn’t aTm, and even Miami, shown that you still have to coach up the kids you recruit?

At the FCS level, he had the Yankees and he was playing against AA teams.

Maybe he will be a success, but I’m skeptical until I see it on the field. 50/50 success vs disaster IMO.
 
The guy introduced his son as QB1 lol. So much for honest competition.

Good luck getting a quality backup when the candidate has no shot at QB1.
 
I am hoping for an implosion of the highest order in Boulder. I hope they are the worst program in CFB not named FSU or UF in the coming years.

Small sample size, but there's precedence of HS coaches that have made the jump to the College game.

Art Briles wasn't that far removed from the HS game when He got the job at UH...Paul Brown made the jump from HS to College...and just recently, Trent Dilfer made the jump from HS to College.

Like I said, it's a small sample size, but it's been done before.

And BTW, Deion was also a HS HC at 2 schools prior to becoming a HS OC.

If it comes down to a staring contest in OT we got our first win of the season…no doubt.

While odd, 5-7, toxic staff, toxic locker room, OC still employed. … the board will lighten up once Gattis is timely replaced with an OC that is exciting, we raid the portal and Mario does his job on ESD…

And some of the anti-Deion takes are so absurd, it forces reasonable posters to either respond or leave the threads…
