2023 2023 DE Enow Etta receives offer

Yeah i think the lower level staff lay the ground work to see if we have a legit chance. Cant have the regular coaches wasting time on players who we know ain't coming. Atleast that's how I read it
Agreed, the lower level staff make the initial contact and keep the plan B/C options warm. However, elite recruits like Enow have to know that they're only communicating w/secondary staff and not the primary staff and implicitly their importance to the school's recruiting priorities.

If a high 4* recruit in a position of need feels like we're one of the main schools recruiting him, IDK why secondary staff is on him. Unless, he's telling the interviewer what he thinks the fans want to hear and its really Michigan, MSU and Stanford in the lead with Alabama on the second tier and we're on the third tier with other schools he didn't mention.

Edit: this could explain why he was frustrated that the offer came in late. He's having to figure out if/where we fit in his top schools list.

Its getting old seeing that MSU has solid footing already for a recruit we're after or just offered. Thread after thread after thread. Tucker is seriously working the recruiting trail.
That guy gonna be a problem for Michigan and Ohio. Serious problem. His recruiting is taking off and that 11 win season did wonders for them. They may take a step back this year and that may slow it a bit. But their offseason momentum is serious. Especially the academic type athletes, ones ND and Big Ten schools are after. Not worried though. We may fight them mainly for trench guys.

Only for Michigan. Ohio State is way ahead of both as a program. When Day leaves, Fickell comes in. They won't miss a beat.

When you recruit elite athletes like Mario is after, have to expect battles from the likes of UGA, Bama, OSU, TAMU etc. I just never expected to have to include MSU in that list, but yet still, they're right there w/that upper echelon group of schools. We will win some of these and lose some.

Gotta respect what they are doing up there lately, kind of the perfect contrast to Manny Diaz: They had two stud edge guys and they carried the momentum onto the trail; we had two edge guys go in the first round and then lost out on all but one of the best edge class in South Florida possibly ever.
