2022 WR Benson Prosper

(Listed as 5’8 150lbs, but not an updated h/w, he’s currently 5’10 165lbs ) 3-star WR out of Miami Gardens.

Was originally at Norland but then transferred to Champagnat last year.

Had a great Junior season with 42rec 688yds 13TD’s on Champagnat’s state championship offense.

He’s a quintessential slot WR, speed demon that has a quick release off the line & plays with an explosive burst in the open field. Runs with terrific contact balance & has an extra gear getting into the 2nd level of the Defense. A shifty jump cut runner who understands angles & dynamic lateral quickness with runs after the catch, will be a YAC machine in college. The run @2:30 on his tape shows a perfect example, the way he can cut on a dime & accelerate while downshifting at full stride without losing any speed is exactly what you want to see from a joystick mover playmaking WR.

Unlike most small South FL Slot WR’s he’s not a skinny beanpole, the kid has a stout physical frame & as you can see runs with a good center of gravity in order to cut so seamlessly & has a quick but smooth running gait that allows him to create space in enclosed areas & make defenders miss.

As a route runner they didn’t really use him in too many sophisticated patterns, all they had him run was Bubble screens, Reverses & 9 routes, but in camp setting at least he’s shown route tree versatility & understands how to stem properly to create separation & depth at the 2nd level, his transitional footwork getting in & out of his breaks is textbook with quick choppy steps & makes him a matchup nightmare for DB’s.

Was a big time performer under the bright lights, had 8rec for over 100yds & 3TD’s in the state title game & is a high character kid who you don’t have to worry about handling the mental aspect of the game, natural baller.

He plays for Champagnat the same school that delivered us Rousseau & Jaylen Harrell recently, he also plays for SOAR 7V7 squad & runs track. Haitian kid from Bunche Park that is friends with several players we’re recruiting & a number of guys already on our team.

Ole Miss has recently offered him & is selling him on playing the Elijah Moore role, they have the early lead because they were first to jump in on his recruitment from a P5 standpoint, but as @DMoney has been discussing the South FL Slot kids have had really good success in college & are making it to the NFL, this kid could be another one.

he'd be allen hurns. if allen hurns was 17 years old and going to play in rhett ashlee's offense
