2022 Early Depth Chart (total guess)

Here's my best guess for OL

1st team: Nelson -- Rivers -- Clark -- Sagapolu -- Scaife

2nd team: Hillery -- Campbell -- Traore -- Reed -- Oluwaseun

Scout team: Seymore, McLaughlin, Washington, Rodriguez, Walker, McCoy, Cooper
That second team makes me want to vomit holy ****.

This fvckin' guy was a defensive coach who was here for a total of 6 years...yet the talent on defense is embarrassingly pedestrian.

Our DE's are pedestrian.
We have 2 Miami level DT's.
Our LB unit is mostly trash.
The Safety unit has 3 really good players.
But the CB position is also pedestrian if not for the Stevenson transfer.

We're undersized across the board. We have very few prototype bodies at DE, DT, CB and LB.

We have really good talent at QB, RB, WR and TE.
OL is basura.

It's gonna take Mario a couple classes before this looks like a true UM roster.
I’ll disagree that our CB is pedestrian without Stevenson. Our CB room is G5 bad without Stevenson.

I also don’t think OL is complete basura. We can put out a respectable starting five, but our depth is where the basura starts.

I agree with the majority of this with one exception. Our OL certainly isn't the the San Francisco 49ers but I wouldn't quite label it Basura. The projected starters make for a solid group. That depth though......

I definitely agree with the last sentence but here's the good news. TVD and Garcia. While we are waiting for this staff to stack talent we have the QB and the skill talent to light up the scoreboard accomplishing 2 things. Keeping us in games we might not have been because of the pedestrian nature of our defensive talent and making us exciting to recruits. Playing an exciting brand of football by playing to our strengths only helps us build the roster.

I like it!
He's had some really good defenses recently, other than one season.
I'm looking forward to seeing what his philosophy is.

Hopefully he doesn't subscribe to the Manny Diaz ideology of leaving zones completely vacant and having your DL run 5 yards up-field.
Somewhere I thought I read his philosophy was more Read and React, as opposed to Aggressive/Attacking.

Have you not seen them? Arroyo is clearly more aggressive than Mallory, and talented. From what it looks like now though, Mallory is a better route runner. But it’s the aggressiveness from Arryo for me
But does that transfer to overall skill? Aggressive is good however there is a finesse ok skill. Can he be silky when he needs to?

Yeah Kids a beast and our best back by far. Once he puts on wait look for him to dominate this year, Coach Feld got these boys showing Real Body Transitions with his strength and conditioning
Any points of interest?

WR: Frank Ladson; Romello Brinson
WR: Jacolby George; Key'Shawn Smith

TE: Will Mallory; Elijah Arroyo OR Jaleel Skinner
LT: Zion Nelson; John Campbell
LG: Jalen Rivers; Cleveland Reed
C: Jakai Clark; Laurance Seymore
RG: Logan Sagapolu; Justice Oluwaseun
RT: Portal; DJ Scaife

SDE: Elijah Roberts OR Jake Lichtenstein; Nyjalik Kelly
DT: Leonard Taylor OR Jared Harrison-Hunte; Antonio Moultre
DT: Portal; Jordan Miller
WDE: Jahfari Harvey OR Chantz Williams; Cyrus Moss
