Ryan Day? I believe he coached for Golden for only one year. Don't think that qualifies him as a Golden protege. Was just reading his Wikipedia and it says that Chip Kelly was his mentor (even brought him over from college to the NFL) . So I guess Meyer doesn't get to claim him as much as Kelly does.
Yes Ryan Day is a Chip Kelly disciple from way back in the New Hampshire days, Kelly & Day are both from the Sean McDonnell tree, he’s been at New Hampshire for literally 30 years & both of them played for him, Ryan Day was a QB at NH & Chip Kelly was a DB.

Dan Mullen is somewhat of a Sean McDonnell disciple as well, he coached at Wagner & Columbia to start his career & how he got those jobs was because when he was a player in college at Ursinus he played against Coach McDonnell when he was a DB coach at Columbia & then when McDonnell went to NH he recommend Mullen at Columbia University as an assistant. Then after Mullen coached at Cuse under Paul Pasqualoni (who’s currently on Mullen staff right now as a Chief assistant to the HC), he met Urban Meyer at Notre Lame when he & Urby both coached under Bob Davie.

But Ryan Day wound up coaching for Urban & was on the same staff with Mullen on those UF staff when Urban first got there, Ryan Day left & went back to Boston College under Tom O’Brien, where he & Steve Addazio wound up reconnecting becaus Addazio was with Day & Mullen at the beginning of the Urban era in UF, Addazio also was with Mullen at Syracuse under Paul Pasqualoni...

So when Addazio got the Temple job he hired Ryan Day to be his WR’s coach & eventually OC/QB’s coach, then after being with Addazio for a few years Chip Kelly came & took him to the NFL with the Eagles & Niners with him. Then once Kelly got fired from the NFL, Urby brought Ryan back with him to OH St.

The six degrees of separation for all these coaches is Earle Bruce, Sean McDonnell & Paul Pasqualoni.

Makes complete sense as to why Day’s cheeks get so red

There’s no version of this that ya’ll would be okay with lol. Im convinced.
I’d be good with it if Bama wasn’t arbitrarily placed in the top 4.

IMO the top15 should be:

1. UGA
2. Mich St
3. Oklahoma
4. Oregon
5. Oh ST
6. Bama
7. Cincinnati
8. Wake Forest
9. OK St
10. Baylor
11. UTSA
12. Houston
13. Michigan
14. Notre Dame
15. Louisiana Lafayette

It will all work itself out over the next 4 weeks anyway, it’s just the problem is Bama shouldn’t be so high to where if they lose a 2nd game that they won’t drop that far, they’re not the 2nd best team in the nation right now & they don’t have the 2nd best resume.

I think osu jumps Oregon at the end due to the Michigan state win

I think bama gets in regardless

uga of course

unbeaten ou gets in

Good call. Forgot about Oklahoma. They are the SECs fiancée, so an undefeated Oklahoma definitely gets in over 1 loss Oregon.

Would bet money it ends up

1 UGA (loss the Bama in SEC championship game might drop them to 4 but they are in for sure, barring some fluke loss in the next few weeks)
2 Bama
3 Ohio State (gets the 2 spot if UGA loses)
4 Oklahoma
