It’s criminal that Cincinnati is #6, and that Michigan just lost and is ahead of Oklahoma.

Wake Forest at #9 is also buns. It shouldn’t be up to a bunch of jabronies with special interests to decide which four teams are the best.

The games should always be played on the field to decide who the best team is.

After all, in 1983 everyone and their mom thought that what was being called up to that point the greatest team of all-time (Nebraska), was gonna steamroll our Canes. Boy did we shock the world.

Would love to see Cincinnati have a shot at it, but it’s highly unlikely.

They have just set it up so that when Ohio St beats Michigan St, OSU jumps into #3 spot and MSU drops to the 4 spot. Why would MSU still get in ahead of Oregon? Because MSUs one loss would be to the #3, while Oregon lost to 3-5 Stanford.

Ohio ST has their destiny in their own hands, they finish the season with their last two games being home vs Mich St & @ Michigan, then they play the winner of the B1G west which could be a potential rematch vs Minnesota, or Wisky, Iowa screwed themselves out of the West by losing to Wisconsin. Mathematically they’re still in it but they most likely will miss out on winning the West.

Oklahoma has the toughest row to hoe, they have to play @ Baylor this Saturday, then Iowa St at home, then finish the season @ OK St for Bedlam, then for the Big XII title game will have to rematch with either Baylor or OK St.

Oregon has the easiest road to the playoffs, they play @ Washington, home vs Wazzu, @ Utah & home vs Oregon St, then get the winner of the PAC-12 South which will either be Utah or AZ St. the PAC-12 is a pure garbage conference right now, literally every team except for Oregon has a minimum of 4 or 5 losses. If they don’t make the playoffs it’ll be a colossal failure, they should breeze past the rest of the Pac-12.

UGA is a shoo-in, they don’t have any tough fights left & their only good opponent they play will be Bama in ATL for the SEC title game. But luckily for UGA & Bama, they’ve gerrymandered the system so that regardless of the outcome of their game in the SEC championship match, both teams will still make the playoffs. Because the furthest either one can drop is to #2 for UGA if they lose to Bama & #4 for Bama if they lose to UGA.

Cincinnati’s toughest game left will be SMU at home which they should win & then they get Houston in the AAC championship game, but there’s no scenario where they’ll make the playoffs even if they go undefeated. Unfortunately for them the committee just don’t give AF about G5 schools.

Wake Forest isn’t gonna go undefeated, they’ll drop one of these last 4 games they play, but even then they’ll still win the ACC regardless of who they play in the ACCCG from the Corstal.

Mich St had a good run, but their season will come tumbling down once they matchup with Oh St @ The Shoe.

5 and 6 were Meyers protégés. Not a coincidence that so many coaches learned how to run a successful program from these two coaches who won multiple championships. Sadly, if you look at coaches like Richt or Mack Brown, who had a huge amount of resources and almost always came up short, they have virtually no protégés who were successful in the college coaching ranks. I believe Richt and Brown share one former assistant coach that is currently coaching a P5 team- Mr. Manny Diaz.
Wasn't 5 a Golden protege? 😂

Oregon has no business being in the playoffs. They lost to Stanford and almost lost to UCLA. They also lost to Oregon State last year.

What in the **** does last year have to do with this one?

What about Michigan State? They lost to everyone last year.

Excellent point. This list is a sham. MSU needs to be unranked.

Ryan Day? I believe he coached for Golden for only one year. Don't think that qualifies him as a Golden protege. Was just reading his Wikipedia and it says that Chip Kelly was his mentor (even brought him over from college to the NFL) . So I guess Meyer doesn't get to claim him as much as Kelly does.

#3 is Michigan State. Cincy is #6.

So they put Notre Dame at #10 but the undefeated team that beat them isn't in the top 4. Man does college football need to change. Also, Michigan State at #3 is a joke.

but Ohio State lost to the team that lost to 3-5 Stanford

Yes, but that isnt as important as the fact that Oregon is on the west coast and no one east of the Mississippi gives a **** about the Pac12. Two Big10 and two SEC teams is their dream scenario this year since they can't put four SEC teams in.

...but we beat Pittsburgh and NC State. How are they ranked above us?
Honestly...how in the fvck is Wisky even ranked? They are 5-3 and got absolutely *** raped by Michigan and Notre dumb....like they put 40 plus on them...and they lost to pedo state as well...GTFOH
