Our schedule sets up perfectly for us to win the acc if Mario is who we think he is the coastal should be a cakewalk and Clemson is sticking with DJ at qb and venables is leaving the Acc should be ours in 2022

First, let's see if we use the portal to grab ourselves a defense and an OL or two.

My expectations will be relatively low for anyone who comes in here - regardless of TVD.

But, with a few key pickups, some tackling practice, and an OC who spreads the field, you never know what may happen.

Fair. We have some issues with pressuring the QB. The CBs coming in look the part but would have to really overperform. Wes needs to start Day 1

But Mario is the type of dude that can pull it off

The A&M game could be a wake up call for the Canes, but the ACC, as weak as it is this season, looks even weaker next season.

Serious question - what QB's return in the ACC next year not named TVD? I mean, it is going to be a tumblewead waste land of a conference next year.

If we spend the proper money on STUD coordinators and assistants, there is no reason why we shouldn't breeze through the Coastal and then play NCST or some weakened version of Clemp'sson.

We walk into the 22' season with a top 3 QB in the land, regardless of conference.

I could give two craps if I'm being too unrealistic about Mario's first year. I am all for us being a 10-12 win team and either get into the CFP or into the OB and then get blown out because we were overrated via an easy ACC schedule. Sign me up for that!! The recruits that Mario would bring in after a season like that????

Uh, yeah. Show what frauds we are in a major bowl or first round of the CFP's. If that plays out close to the way I've described, we will be SET to stay in the top 10 henceforth. It would be top 3 recruiting classes going forward. Let's go!!

Can we actually get the coaches hired and get through the offseason of signing day/transfers/etc. before talking about winning the ACC next year…

We had 2 difficult games Texas A&M and Clemson. It's looking like Clemson may suffer a bit depending on who the replacements are, whether they lose to the portal, and whether there are problems these coaches are running from.

That leaves with 1 certainly difficult game. So many questions for next season.

I hope Mario tells the kids every game is the ******* Super Bowl. No more playing down to opponents. His biggest job is to transform the mentality of the entire program. If he does only that and hires the best possible OC, he'll be worth whatever we pay him.

More questions than answers right now. We can revisit once we get kids through fall camp. But Clemson isn’t winning unless DJ learns to throw a football. And don’t get me started on the uncertainty of every coastal teams QB’s. Having a QB like TVD is an advantage only Clemson has had in this conference lately. We absolutely have to capitalize on that.

A&M is going to take a step back and won’t be nearly as tough a game as you think I’m thinking he’s going to get at least 5 transfers on d we don’t need any on offense unless a nfl receiver goes in the portal that’s assuming Zion comes back

Harley and Rambo are both gone. I’d be ok with grabbing one of the Oklahoma WRs if they were interested. Our WR room has a ton of talent but are mostly unproven

Receiver for me is the only question mark on offense if Zion comes back defense on the other hand needs difference makers in the front 7

That will take a few years imo. Next year will have similar desultory performances, imo, but you will start to see a change in intensity in several areas. I hope Mario doesn't have a "back to basics" approach and slow this game down too much for our guys where we start resembling an Alf Gluten team.
