2021 DB Hallman lists UM as early co-leader, has family ties to program

At this point might as well start actively recruiting them all cause if we don’t might end up with only 1 CB commit for the class which would be a tragedy

Did he sign somewhere? Why are people here complaining so much.
Just like in game threads overreacting before the game is over.
Once signing day comes and we don't get any CBs then you all can start crying.

But even if we get this kid most will complain about not getting Marshall, Brown and others.

I think the point is we should have someone other than Tim Burns locked up by now and not waiting for the last minute Hail Mary

CB play has been good this year, and everyone should be back next year. Unless Rumph totally whiffs to close out the class, I don't think he's getting fired.

Can this all end with Rumph at the end of this season? Please!!!!!!

Has nothing to do with this kid. Has everything to do with a thin CB room, a top 10-15 team that is winning and can’t lock down a cot **** corner.
I honestly just want him gone so that I don't have to read the same posts 1000 times on this board.

Not really to do with Hallman, but there really is no justification to keep Rumph anymore; in college you have to coach AND recruit, buddy definitely can't do that latter.

Just because a player commits on signing day doesn't mean is a last minute commitment.

Coaches have to know who they have a chance with from talking to them .
If they feel good about higher board guys they should wait.
If they accept commitments from lower players there won't be any room.

Oh, I agree with that.

Obviously we are all outside the program and don’t really know what’s going on behind closed doors but the trend has been, last minute gets from kids being dropped or no a commit offer from a team (I.e. Christian Williams & Alabama) and sooner or later you are going to strike out and then what? Left holding the pipi in the hand, lol

And ppl wonder why we played so much soft zone this year. The DC doesn't trust his Corners because they're sus one on one. play essentially 4 safeties on the field with the striker position and play soft zone a rally to the football.

CB Recruiting his been beaten to death on the board but man it really is terrible!!

That’s an interesting observation. I don’t know enough Xs & Os to say I agree or disagree but interesting point.

I don’t know about Baker’s past but basically when Manny was running the defense, You had some better DBs in Malek Young, Mike Jackson, Jaquan, Redwine, Bandy, etc.

@Liberty City El - You would know better. Is it the scheme based on the players we currently have or it’s the way Blake and Manny scheme it? I think it’s mostly the latter but it can be a combo of both.

I've seen a lot of cover 3 this season, and nothing is wrong with cover 3 but we have played it a lot more than I'm used to seeing. When mike Jackson and them were here we were letting them eat.

There's a lot of truth to this, Blades and Ivey (with the exception of UAB) have been solid all year. Couch had his best game on Saturday and Dunson made an impact play on ST that should give him some confidence.

While we don't have the stable that LSU does, there are 110+ other schools who'd trade their corners for ours.
