2020 LB Ruben Hyppolite Visits Miami, Receives Offer

I'd love to see his short shuttle time. From the highlights, he looks like he has a great first step and lateral movement. He covers the field really well. Not the normal pass rushing specialist we see in So FL, but able to handle man and zone coverage, line containment, gap integrity ... super versatile.
i think it is 4.40s

Writers fueling the thought that offering in April of your Junior year is late.

Almost every school in the country offered before we did. There was a point in time where his coaches were begging Miami to offer him and they just overlooked him. Two year starter at American Heritage 4.5 40 laser 1000 SAT and he's in our backyard at a position of need. They offered Pough but not Hyppolite and should've offered both at the same time, that's where I think the late factor came in. Fortunately he's not holding any grudges...Miami has to recruit him though, he's not a lock.

I'm jumping the gun here. Obviously the TNM is some bs, because they still missing on layups in their on backyard. I wasn't expecting for recruiting to immediately make an 180 and start signing kids like Stevenson in the area, but we can't even get kids like Hyppolite to commit to us, which is absolutely ridiculous considering he is a LB and our depth at that position.

He's been locked in with Maryland for quite some time now. Miami didn't help themselves with the late offer. It's not over until it's over though.

Don't think he'll go to Maryland.

I also don't think he's an idiot

Those two statements are related...

OBV I digress if he tried to commit to UM and they told him no.

It is when the kid is 30min away from your campus and 25 other teams have offered already.

Especially considering you have a need at Line backer...and didnt even sniff anything local until right b4 spring starts. Maryland may have been 1 of his first offers if i could remember. But like i said...visit high and they treated him well and are doing a good job recruiting at MD now.

I can"t understand a kid wanting to go to UMd if he's got a choice of South Florida. Campus is so dreary, especially during the winter. Probably one of the least attractive college towns I've ever seen.

Only good thing about Maryland is Crab Cakes....

If your gonna have a team with bag money it’s a head scratcher that that team isn’t it. That area around DC has some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in America. Problem is most of them aren’t football fans. Same with vag tech and uva

I’m not understanding the Va Tech reference??? Blacksburg isn’t necessarily a wealthy area- I was there 2 days ago- and they do support their team.

If they follow football at all it's the Redskins.
