2019 SCHEDULE OPEN GAME

Not unless I read it wrong. Looks like Houston only has 3 OOC games scheduled for 2019. ECU as well. Wake Forest too but that won’t work. Actually, WF and ECU should play each other. Us and Houston. There are no Power 5 teams not full (besides us and WF). Houston looks like the best option out there.
Technically, we could play Wake Forest but not count it as a conference game. I think I’ve heard of that happening before.

ECU has 2 away and 1 home OOC game scheduled for 2019. Therefore, I assume they will be wanting a home game. I assume we will be needing/wanting a home game (since we have 1 home OOC game scheduled, 1 neutral site OOC game scheduled, and 1 away OOC game scheduled) we will be needing/wanting a home game.
Wake Forest has 2 home and 1 away OOC game. Maybe they would come to us as an OOC game if we agree to go to them for an OOC game in the future (during a season we don’t already have them in cross over)?

Arizona would be an option. They play @ Hawaii, and unless something has changed, they get a potential 13th game as a result. Same could go for Oregon State. As far as non-P5 teams, Fresno State and San Diego State both play @ Hawaii and have only 12 games scheduled and they're usually pretty good.
When's the last time we played a western team during the regular season? It used to a big thing with Sam Jankovich but that's before we joined a conference. We used to have trouble with scheduling so we'd schedule west coast teams.

Very expensive to travel and we often had trouble winning.

Surprised we're having trouble scheduling now.

I’d like to schedule Arky State at their house again so we can kick their *** and gtfo of there

It will be a FCS team just no other choice. Man Diaz picked a perfect year to start as this year's team would of won 9 games IMO against that schedule but with a team that actually has a pulse on O we should go 11-1 or 10-2 at very worst. UF is the only team who might be better then us . UVA will be **** good to as they have a great young QB.

Another fail by Flake James. I recall this happened last year (or the year before) as well and we had to schedule savannah state at the last second.

Colorado in 2005 wasn't it? But that was a make-up from the 90s. I think the last series was Washington in 2000-01. I don't know why it doesn't happen more often, but it'd be pretty cool if it did.

Knowing it will be an FCS school...
I wouldn't mind playing some Ivy League school like Princeton.
Hey maybe we can even give the Qb coach Sean Gleeson a tour of Coral Gables.

We were lucky to get out of our game with Arkansas State. They were really gunning for UM.

Im in fear that we may have to end up giving them their home game.

Sucks we’re left holding the bag so late in finding another home date to fill. It’s going to be a FCS school I believe and as someone already said, why not Arkansas St? It would shut them the **** up after we curb stomp them into the following week, get us an easy W, and help Manny out along with Baker fine tune the defense before conference play begins.

Don't like Princeton?

IF we're resigned to scheduling home and homes with the likes of Toledo then I wouldn't mind following suit with a service academy. At least a trip to West Point or Annapolis would be an intriguing road trip for our fans.

Option football games beat up the players. We should schedule some pass happy team.

OOC games are set up like 4 to 5 years in advance. Then we had Rutgers or some other school I think back out leaving the opening. Unfortunately at that point everyone is already locked in pretty much or you get left with a small number of schools all of which need a home game giving the AD very few options other than a FCS team which we are not currently playing one in 2019 as I believe Central Michigan is FBS but may be wrong there.

Playing a team like Wyoming, Boise State, BYU, SDSU, Cal, Stanford, Oregon, etc. would be nice for us. I don't think it'll ever happen though.
