i want bama
Yup. Along with Michigan State at home. That’s going to be a fun year for fans.I think we get them in '21
I believe in the Jimmy method, play the best team you can get, even if you have to go to them, IE OU as soon as Jimmy could arrange it, punk *** switzer would not come to 305 but told Jimmy hey your welcome to come to Norman and get that *** beat, we know how that went. I have a pic somewhere of Troy Aikman curled up in fetal position with Russel Maryland (?) standing over him, which imo was last straw for Troy, he couldnt wait to get the **** outta there and that BS offense Barry employed. Now the opposite of the Jimmy method is the Mack Brown method, thats where you control your own sked and make sure that every team you play you can beat by 70, which does your team absolutely no good what so ever. No, to be the best you have to go play the best, and thats how you get better
If it has to be an fcs opponent yes something the benefits Florida and the community down here ... **** Savannah state and **** teams like Arkansas stas it should be.. and i hope it's FAMU.. i think we should play them often, its great for the community, great for local Fam alumn. and great for canes fans to enjoy that amazing band.
2021.i want bama
Maybe Saban will pass before 2021 lolNo you don’t
i want bama
no way Saban keeps it rolliin that long, he'll be the governor of alabama by then2021.
FIU has a return game. The question is if it will be played as a FIU home game at The Rock, or at FIUs stadium. Expected attendance could push the game to The Rock. Same article assumes the remaining game will be an FCS opponent.
Miami Hurricanes football schedule 2019: UM wants Florida beyond 2019 | Canes Watch
Unless you’re riding a bus with them.FAMU band is the best! I always stayed in the stands at the half to watch them.
I'd read that the contract stipulates the FIU game CAN'T be played at FIU stadium. It will be a home game for them, but they are on the hook to find a stadium to play it in that holds at least 45k (not sure of the exact figure, but my understanding is there is that sort of language in the contract). All speculation at this point is that the game will either be at Marlins Park or at Hard Rock (still as a FIU home game), as there aren't really any other options.
My guess is FIU would prefer to play at Marlins Park, but the game will end up at Hard Rock because of logistics and the cost to go to MP would most likely be a lot more.
We should play a FAU, USF, Tulane, Southern Miss, Western Kentucky type of team for the 4th game.
I cannot stand playing a non FBS opponent. I guess FAMU/Bethune are ok once in a while. They have a great band and can at least make it semi competitive and challenging for a quarter. Savannah State , on the other hand, is an absolute joke and a complete waste of a week for the players, coaches, fans, etc.
I hope the game is at marlins park. I think it would be great to return to the old OB site
I dunno. **** poor tailgating space, bad sightlines in a poor configuration for football and the general nausea of remembering what used to be there.
I'd sooner push Butch's **** in out in West Miami at their cute lil stadium. It's not much smaller than FAU's and that was a fun atmosphere (insofar as us agreeing to these home-and-homes).
Take scar off that list they refuse to play us ever since that fight we had with them at they're place in 87.I know it's stupid but they're fans say they'd never play us again.Chose 1 from Tier 1
Vanderbilt
UCLA
Scar
Baylor
if not then Tier 2
Louisiana Tech
Southern Miss
Tulane
Middle Tennessee State
Uf, CM, Vanderbilt, and Tulane would be my choices.
I just don't understand why people harp on this so much. It's whatever to me. I had a great time at the SSU game, it was fun to see all the younguns get in, especially with the new 4 game redshirt rule. It's like a preseason game, it's fun to score points, it came at a great time for us when we needed to figure some things out this season.
And, oh yeah, everyone plays games like this.
As a season ticket purchaser, I'm more concerned about giving up a home game by playing home-and-homes with teams like Toledo and Arky St. I'll take a home game against FAMU or Bethune any day over a home-and-home with Tulane or the Hilltoppers.
And no, we should not be playing USF or UCF. FIU and FAU, I get, they're basically our neighbors and FAU has the Howard thing, but why legitimize the directionals by playing them? It's all upside for them, all downside for us.
We should be playing one brand name non-conference each season, and three cupcakes. That's more than most Big10 or SEC teams do. And we should be shooting for 7-8 home games per year, not 6.
