2019 Freshman 15: June Edition

Miami has the same presence on TV as UGA.
Miami has the same pro-day attended by all 32-teams as UGA.
Miami has more players in the league than UGA.
Miami has ALL FIVE of its National Championships since UGA won the last of their TWO (the first of which they won before black players could even participate (Grambling woulda beat them to sleep) and WHEN THE ENTIRE WORLD WAS BUSY GOING TO WAR) 38 years ago.
Miami has a far better academic reputation than UGA.
Miami is actually in a World-Class city, not 2 hours away from one like UGA.
Miami has the same (prolly better) caliber of .... "talent" walkin the campus and the city as UGA.
Miami has more (and better) alumni come back to campus and participate hands-on in the program than UGA.
Miami has as good an alumni-network as UGA, specifically because Miami's coach BUILT BOTH SCHOOL'S ALUMNI NETWORKS.
Miami has as good (better) a coach as UGA, partly because he's arguably the greatest coach UGA ever had & because he's got 15 years of HC experience seniority of the coach at UGA.
Miami's DB coach actually PLAYED DB in the league, unlike that "He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches." headass confusing DBs at UGA.
Miami's got as talented a roster at the top, if not throughout as UGA.

When I factor all of that in, and then read some local kid say, 'UGA over Miami would be a 'Business Decision', I need a lil more clarity.

Because otherwise, all I hear is:

Bro. UGA went to the championship LAST YEAR and lost on a GW TD... we can't even score a TD vs Clemson or beat Wisconsin at home..

"Moral victories are for Minor League Coaches"
And current football success would make it a "Football decision" not a "Business decision". Most of the things I named were aspects beyond the field that deal with the business of the decision.
And for the sake of your argument, even if UGA WAS to have won that game last season, it doesn't cancel out ALL the other points made in that post.

Kids probably don't even care about half of those things. You think these local kids have seen either Miami or UGA win a championship? We're getting to the point most of these kids were BORN the last time Miami was even in the title game. All they know right now is one is playing at the level to win one soon and the other can't even score a TD against a elite team.

Richt is the better UGA coach only because he been there 15 years to Kirby 3 years. Based on what we're seeing in recruiting and on the field already he'll probably surpass Richt's 15 years in the mind of UGA fans in about 6 years based on his trajectory.

Georgia had the #2 ranked pass defense... we had like the 52nd.

In the last 10 years (including this year) UGA has 45 Draft picks (8 in the 1st round) Miami has 47 draft picks (4 in the first round) so..

Giving Kirby credit for the db’s when is the db coach is hilarious.
Most of the cucks on here will do whatever contortions are necessary to eat that UGA hyped ***. Sabag is and will always be the guy running that DB room. Period.

It's remarkable that UGAs WR coach is out recruiting us for a DB (in our own backyard), two years in a row now!

Whether he cares about them or not, those facts are the facts and if he says "business decision" that decision has to constitute something. I stated a dozen or so somethings it could constitute. Either its strictly a football decision or its a business decision for other reasons. If there are other non-football decision reasons, beyond academics, alumni network, nfl placement, historical success, location, coaching comparison and "bags" I'd like to know them. They might exist and I welcome the new info. And lets not act like UGA didn't barely beat a ND team we smashed & lose to an Auburn team that lost to UCF on a neutral field. They had ups and downs last year like Miami did. Miami, due to injuries and Malik, had more late. Neither team ended the season with ****. So that's a wash whether you wanna give them moral victories or not.

There's a reason Richt was HC at that same school for 15 years. He was pretty good there too. And what we're 'seeing in recruiting' is Richt, without the va$t array of re$ource$ that UGA ha$ at their di$po$al, field Top 10 recruiting classes every year just like Kirby's doing, even beating him for kids like Frierson who could play almost anywhere. And trajectory smhasmhectory. That assumption nonsense ain't gonna cut it. When your argument is, "Based on what it SEEMS like in the last 2 years of HCing from Smart, it's safe to assume he'll surpass the guy who has successfully been a head coach for the last 18, in the next 6 years" I'm gonna assume you're just arguing for arguing's sake.

"In the last 10 years (including this year) UGA has 45 Draft picks (8 in the 1st round) Miami has 47 draft picks (4 in the first round) so.."
1) Who was UGA's head coach for 80% of those last 10 years? Exactly. Miami's current head coach. Making my argument for me.
2) By your numbers, Miami has more draft picks than UGA, even during what would be considered some down years. Anybody making a business decision would look at that and say, "I could go to the school that has had more guys drafted and is coached by the guy who got most of the guys for the other school drafted? So you mean to tell me, whether its' Richt's coaching, or just being at Miami, I've got a TREMENDOUS chance to get drafted? Sign me up." Making. My. Argument. For Me.

But you got it fam. I've already done more than enough typing on the subject. If my first post wasn't enough for you to see the light, and this post isn't enough for you to see the light, any more would be a waste of my time.

Have a good one. Wakanda Forever.

Stefan has to stop tip toeing around the Stevenson crap. He knows TS is on the take. I think the board would appreciate it if you just came out and spilled the beans. Then everyone can move on. Also it would less work to do on your end. Won’t need to report anything else on the matter of the player is not coming here.

I’ve posted it in another thread. I know someone in their “network”. Last class was 10 mill and the QB they signed cost a substantial more then Scam Newton ever got. So it would not surprise me at all if UGA busted out the brinks again.

While I’m on the topic.... peep Auburn. They are getting restless more then ever. Watch the class they land.

Money talks and bull**** walks

So your saying we had more drafted with worse coaches then the guy currently coaching had at another school we are compare ourselfs with?

I have no idea if TS is comin but there is a huge difference between TC and TS, Cambell never visited nearly as much as TS has. So I'd stop talk **** prematurely, could be talking **** about a future cane. Most Everything these kids say right now will change based on the season we have.

The news about T.S is exactly why I said I was weary about his recruitment. I can care less of how much he comes on campus. TC going to UGA got me jaded about these guys.

FWIW Stevenson is at Alabama right now. So is Bogle. Big recruiting event for Bama - "Champions Cookout" supposedly 80 major recruits in 2019,2020, 2021 attending per their board

I can't even lie we've seen a lot of so called "great recruiter" come and go and under perform here. James Coley is probably the only guy who was known as a elite recruiter and actually recruited at an elite level while he was here IMO.

He recruited at an elite level to you? I think He was good but not elite, that bag different now at uga

Everyone holding their breath waiting for TS to come to Miami is about to suffocate

Kid has $EC written all over him. This battle is only “close” on the surface- he knows where he’s going, and his bank account knows where he’s going

Thanks for all of the info Stefan

Based on this logic, we must have dropped a chit load of bags for Tracy Howard who was the #1 ranked CB in his class. He was a signing day surprise and had $EC written all over him...so either we got some bag men doing work around these parts, OR it's not all bags and fairies like some of you guys think...

We should have never let him go, made him co-OC or Associate Coach. He was an asset and we're paying the price now. Probably get downvoted to ****, but clear as day to me. He's one of the Top 3 recruiters in the country right now.

Not for every prospect but for some it’s definitely involved
