2018 RB class

Rankings matter as it pertains to a collection of talent in terms of class rankings...

But individually they really don't determine how a player's career will turn out.

A significant percentage of high ranked kids across multiple positions either transfer quick or end up a bust.

Evals, scheme & culture fit are just as if not even more important than overall 247/Rivals ratings.

Lorenzo Lingard
Ricky Slade
Jaelen Gill
Asa Martin
Mycale Salahuddin
Trey Lowe (got moved to WR & transferred)
Brian Snead (got kicked out for sexual assault)
Maurice Washington (got sentenced to 30 days in prison for his case)

All transferred.

Pooka Williams, Killa Cam, Keontay Ingram, Master Teague, Lyn-J Dixon & Ricky Person have been the only real productive RB's out of the top group.
TJ Pledger has been a bust for Oklahoma.

Max Borghi should be up there. Has done very well for a 3 star.

Add in heart, desire, and will of the kid to succeed..

lots of transfers/portals! wow
That's how it will be every year and most of those kids will never be heard from. We've had some terrible transfers lately..martell, hill, delaney, the dt from VA, some solid ones Osborn. Now we got King, Joe B, and JWill

I think hill, Delaney and renfrow were adequate depth fillers. The difference bw them and what we’re pulling in now is that the ones now are high level starters as opposed to depth chart guys. Both types are necessary. Fortunately, we’re addressing the depth chart issues via recruiting

Kinda crazy that last year we had 3 of the top 13 backs from the 2018 class on our roster
