Trent Harris - 6th-UFA

KC McDermott - 7th - UFA

All of these guys will interview very well. I think Chad has the potential to sneak into the 2nd-3rd round if he tests well.

scouts apparently like chad's polished which is a good sign of Kool's coaching ability.

I could see Chad rising and think he will test well. Also, Herndon will be a complete steal for some team - dude can do everything and I think he was under utilized at Miami. Also, Brax and Trent will be in this league for a long time - true professionals.

I believe Chad Thomas will be the first Hurricane picked. Maybe as high as the second round. A lot of DEs coming into the league can rush the passer but struggle in every other aspect of playing the position. Chad does a lot of the things most people don't notice really well. He's got great size and should be able to carve out a really nice pro career. Herndon is going to be a steal for whoever picks him. Assuming he heals up from the knee surgery. He's a complete tight end/Hback. Some of these guys are going to have to impress at the combine to solidify a draft spot. Guys like Berrios, Norton and Delaney could climb if they wow with measurable skills. Trent Harris is a bit of a tweener but he could have value as a 3-4 OLB. You can't question his heart. And he was productive as a reserve DE here.

Yeah, lots of talk that scouts are loving Chad's game. They probably pop in his film and say "imagine what this guy could do if he wasn't being held on every play".

Not bad. Herndon will be drafted later (5th-7th). I think Harris and Berrios will surprise some at how high they get picked (4th, imo).

Good list, OP.

As usual, I expect the majority of those guys to outperform their spot. I could see Chad being the first Cane selected.

This is always fun because whenever we do this we always overvalue our guys. For instance, we all would think Chad would be a top 3 round pick..but for some reason he will slip to the 4th or 5th I bet. I love Chads game and think he would fit in perfect in a scheme like the Texans or Steelers where he isnt asked to be a pass rush specialist just a steady DE who can drop back in coverage every so often.

My "Jon Beason" award for the player goes higher then expected for this class I think will be Braxton Berrios. I think he will test well at the combine and the Pro Day and someone will snatch him in the 4th round with visions of him being a slot nightmare. He is tough, very smart, goes over the middle, has no fear, can return punts, and if we had a QB his numbers would have been alot better. I think when scouts look at his film they will be extremely intrigued. I know everyone said the Patriots are the destination but I wouldnt be surprised if the Dolphins snatched him up.

My "Tommy Streeter award for the player that goes lower then expected I think will be Mark Walton. I honestly dont think he gets drafted at all and its a shame. I think he will have to earn his way on roster from the ground up and if anyone can do it he can. I wish the kid all the luck and will be rooting for him as he got a bad break and deserved to enjoy this season and get drafted.
