Because UD is all about his community and the city of Miami. He knows the importance of Miami football to his community.

He's not that good though, right?

3 star player...ranked 30 DT in the country....offers from Michigan, South Carolina, West Virginia, Purdue, Temple and others.... still growing so he could end up 6'4- 6'5 300+....Coach Kool can take him and develop him properly..definitely like him more than Fines and possibly Jenkins...Good player

Should recruit all top talent and never assume anything! It's your job. Of course chances may be better with one kid vs. another but you still have to recruit legacies like any other recruit. If true about Haslem, then recruit them both hard.

Haslem is the type of recruit you get committed early on. We need 3 or 4 this year, he's a good player and a take but he's not going to scare away the top DT's out there either.
