Things I would like to see from Camp:
1. Offensive line continuity - I hated all the rotating players and positions. I would rather have my starting 5 working together 80-90% of the time. I think that Richt's offense with more power formations will benefit the team. I hated all the shotgun runs last year, especially with Kaaya being no threat to run. I liked watching Walton running with a lead back last year against
Duke.
2. More mental toughness - All the penalties and coming up short in crunch time was part of the weak culture bread by the former staff. Starting in the off-season with the Mat drills where if 1 guy messed up everyone had to start over, I believe the team will be more disciplined than last year. The amount of yards and big plays that were negated by penalties last year was staggering.
3. Who's going to stand out on the D-Line - we need these guys to be playmakers. Disruption from the line will help out our questionable secondary. We have a lot of highly rated kids out of highschool who haven't shown great technique and effort. Guys like Chad Thomas need to step up under the guidance of one of the top DL coaches in the country.
4. What Freshmen show that they are too talented to keep off the field. I'm guessing Richards, Bruce, Shaq, Pinckney and Young will get the most burn out of the incoming class. McCloud, Finley and Wright will be good additions as special teamers.
5. Who's going to be our primary return men. We need our special teams to improve. Golden's special teams were a cluster*#ck. Our top teams were great on special teams, blocks, returns and coverage.
