does anyone have a approximate idea on how many we will have space for next year?

with these recent late signees, it looks like, in my juvenile assessment, that we'll be able to take around 15? that would suck....

am I off?

Considering our staff has offered approximately 100,000 athletes and they probably know what they're doing (to some extent), I would say yes, you're off.

that's for that logical response. Much clearer now.

Would you say he's off by 2 or 3...or maybe 20,000 or 30,000? Just asking for a little clarification.

we have 11 graduating Seniors, have a -3 spot by the NCAA and I don't see a ton of Juniors declaring either... so I cant be that far off

We don't have a -3 spot from the NCAA, we have a range of -1 to -7, depending on where schollies shake out this year.

Do not forget the staff may ask under perfoming players to leave to make room for a stud

they are going to take 18-20 in this upcoming class I'd say. Some of the signee's are walk on's so they dont count against the #..

11 Seniors + around 4 early enrollee open spots (21 will enroll in August, right?) + around 4 transfers..

Safe bet would be around 20.

at the rate ag is going we might not be able to take any if he keeps filling these spots with these scout squad dummies. AG is putting in work what a winner we hired. Thanks Shalala for destroying the Miami football program

Their are 12 Seniors + 3 Redshirt Juniors who I am sure will not be given a 5th year. As of now we would go into fall camp at 82 ( 3 scholarships imposed for 2014) Anyone who leaves before they become part of next years roster, theoretically could if not replaced on the roster, (if so desired), add to reductions totals for the 2014 roster and boost numbers for 2015. I would imagine if for example this spring 4 players left, and they were not replaced on the roster, then we would enter 2014 with 78 on the roster, a reduction of 7. We also then would have 19 scholorships to offer for 2015 if we took the final 2 hit next year. So the number will probably be between 17 and 21. Unlike SEC schools we also have a salary cap.

we have a few on the team who should be sent packing after they get burried in the depth chart

If we are only taking 18-20 we are in big trouble, with a class this deep why did we take the commitments from the guys we already did in the class 2015 let alone add these suspects at the end of 2014, not to knock them, but there is to much talent on board in 2015 to take mediocre players

It'd be more if Golden would stop giving scrubs offers after signing day and cut the fat (Wells, King, Hoilett etc).

My gut tells me this is a full class. We don't have the spots to use against last year so I expect around 25. Anything short of top 10 with this talent pool is a failure.

It will depend on how recruiting goes for us. 2015 just like 14 is loaded in S Fl, and in a perfect world we take a full 24(minus one for the sanctions). I aint worried about only having 11 seniors. We have enough dead weight where kids could very well be asked to transfer based on how well we recruit and how well our current kids develop. King, Moore, Holliet, Hope, Crow, Dortch, and O'Donnell are just examples of kids that may be asked to go.......

I used to get excited with this notion/idea...

However, knowing Golden we're just going to end up giving the schollies to guys that no one even heard of...

Some have called this practice "The Golden Special."
