2015 Class: 22 commits so far...

Eddie Lacy is looking almost as bad as TRich. Barron hasn't done **** either. But think of it this way, Bama has had the top class like 5 yes in a row, all their starters are 4*-5* guys, and they just haven't panned out the wau u expect. When we have good players, they may not b that good for us (bcuz of poor coaching) but they still do well in the NFL and they all get a good shot to make a team, even if undrafted.

Who cares what they do in the nfl with they produce in college?

If you don't think the main reason high school kids choose to come here is because of the amount of talent we put into the NFL, you are crazy. It is extremely important to put guys into the NFL, especially right now, so that we still have a good reason for kids to choose us, because I can guarantee they won't be coming specifically so they can play in this defensive scheme, which is garbage.
I mean IDK about you, but I think one of the greatest things about us is that guys perform great in the NFL, not just in college.

man kids just want to be drafted they really don't care how good someone is in the pros, just what school can get them shaking the commissioners hand. Saban/Bama can promise kids that. FSU/Jimbo can promise kids that. Heck even with how crappy Ponder, Manuel, and fat Jamarcus were, Jimbo sells the **** out of being the qb whisper and being able to make kids a 1st rder. Winston going 1st rd will only strengthen that pitch regardless if he turns out to be a bust also. It's just like Calapari and his I'm the best coach to help you be a one and done player in bball pitch.

And yet, Bama keeps getting the #1 class in the country.

You can think how well our guys have done in the NFL has no effect, but I think it has, and maybe it's beginning to fade now that all our top guys are getting older. I mean why do you think so many schools want to be known as TeU, WrU, RBU, etc...
You're acting like I'm saying it doesn't matter how they do here because they do well in the NFL. All I'm saying is Miami players have done very well in the NFL compared to guys from other schools (including these 1st round picks from Bama), even if they don't get drafted that high. Not sure why you guys are even trying to argue with that statement. There's a reason why we are NFLU.

The early concern many expressed on this board was completely warranted, despite some posters shouting down the pessimism by throwing out terms like "mopes."

October is almost over, but we still have 0 CBs or TEs committed. This staff is in the process of blowing a golden opportunity to improve our secondary because they're failing to land top talent besides Jaquan, and they're still stubbornly refusing to recruit certain players because of size. No new commits since the season started, but we've lost Cronkrite, Archibald, George, and Brown to decommitments for various reasons.

St. Louis and Milo are our only worthwhile OL commits right now. DT remains a glaring weakness. LB recruiting for 2015 is awful aside from Perry. And there is absolutely zero positive buzz surrounding the program right now, despite the emergence of a true freshman quarterback with enormous potential who has played extremely well. That's alarming and yet another indictment of this staff.

this recruiting class is a joke. we fail to keep up with the kids that are committed. we havent reached out to local talents, that are have tremendous senior seasons. golden is throwing us into the dirt.

Is this staff even contacting kids who aren't committed to us? It doesn't seem like it other than the Lewis kid

Honestly, I think this class just got to hot in the summer and people who were second or third options were committing early to get a spot. The only thing that makes Brown Cane worthy is the fact that he goes to Miramar..The talent isn't there. Hopefully they are cutting the contact with some of these kids to make room for someone bigger.

Can we wait for a bat signal? Pete? Anything reliable? All we have is Canesport and FB, neither which are reliable.

Right around 1 minute mark, great catch with his hands extended from his body in traffic. About all I took from this film.

Washington reminds me a lot of former TE Dedrick Epps, but he's certainly faster there's no question about that. He reminds me of Epps by his size, big hips and big body.
