Good questions...

1) Ryan Fines - I think he will be this years "Courtel Jenkins". Remember, nobody but Paranos was high on Jenkins when he committed. After the season he blows up and now people are saying he has that Jerome Brown type ability and attitude in him and buddy might be in our 3 deep at NG when he was a lock to RS!

2)

Holy ******* ****.

Whats up with your DT recruiting?? You lost a guy with a good offer sheet to NCSt and all you have is a white dude with no other good offers. Who is your DT coach?

No kidding.

The guy may have aspergers, but he knows how to identify DT talent.

If It was up to me Spence, Gosier, Gauthier, Christian, and Loftus would not be in this class. They are not Miami caliber players IMO.

Thank you.

Kind of a head scratcher the staff took Loftus with Milo and Merrick still in play.

It has Kehoe written all over it. He always like his diamonds in the rough, remember St Pierre from Canada?

what did he used to check? a recruit's achilles' flexibility? mindboggling stuff

again, who is comparing Jenkins to Jerome? But for dying so young, he would have been in the discussion of best NFL DTs of all time.

I have not heard about jenkins completely dominating during camp. Where is the hype coming from?

My sister's, roommate's, cousin's, brother's former hair stylist said that he was a combination of Jerome Brown, Warren Sapp and Batman.

I have a question . Who out there are we in good shape for beyond Irvin and Merrick . i really don't start following recruiting til about this time every year. It can't be too many since we have 22 now .

(new to this board by the way as i am about to abandon the board i have used for the past 16 years as the negativity over there is out of control)

LOL no kidding. Seriously though while this board has a few the few months i have read here most seem to stay on topic with reality .

For as full as this class appears right now numbers-wise, there's still a lot of work that needs to be done.

- Will we land higher priority targets at WR, i.e. Peete and Callaway to go along with Chatman?

- Can we add out-of-state stud Jaason Lewis as a potential difference maker at move TE?

- Can we land Merrick and possibly another o-lineman or two to bolster the group and push a few questionable takes out of the class?

- DT help is still desperately needed. Wicker and Norton should be very high priorities.

- It's surprising that LB recruiting hasn't been better for the current cycle considering Perryman's heading to the league, we kicked 2 LBs out of the program last month, and there's obvious opportunity to compete for immediate playing time. Can we add more high quality talent to go along with Perry?

- Landing Jaquan (and presumably Irvin when he announces after the season) is huge, but there's still 0 CBs committed. Can we flip Cole or C. Davis, and can we land Marcus Lewis or D. Davis?

Like the poster above me said, there's a lot of work to be done still, primarily on the defensive side.

We need to continue adding talent at DT. Fines ain't it.

I'm not in love with our LBs at all. We need more dynamic players there. I hate that we don't offer CityCat's guy, Talan. That dude just makes plays.

We need 2-3 quality CBs in this class.

Safety, obviously JJ is a stud. It'd be nice to finish off with SBB (I consider Irvin more CB than safety).
