2014 team will be the best team we have had in 10 years.

Ryan Williams has already shown that he can do more then "dink and dunk"... he has the arm to get the ball down field w/ some zip to it and his arm is going to get stronger by next season..

MLB would be the only "depth" issues at Linebacker i can see if DP returns.... maybe Armbrister moves over and that problem is resolved.

DTs wont be that big of an issue.... Earl Moore is going to be a Junior and more physically ready to handle the responsibilities of a NT, Juco DTs especially the EEs could make an immediate impact and Travonte Valentine is a stud.

The D-line wont be that big off an issue imo.....

Kirby will replace Gaines and do just fine.
We return Luther and Pierre at Dt, plus backups who are grown up men.
I wouldn't count on a freshman DT. When's the last time you saw a freshman DT do well in college ball ever?

As for Williams, he has shown more this year playing flag football against ZERO pressure.
I think he is better than 80% of the starting qb's I've seen this year, but Morris is better than every qb I've seen this year in terms of arm strength.
Again, he's made throws no other college qb can make. The only qb's I'd rather have than him this year are Marriota and Manziel as all around qb's.
For pro potential, I take Morris over anybody. I'm old school, so when I see a once in a generation arm I go all in.

Can we stop with all this bull**** of players leaving early, there is no way in **** Perryman or any other underclassman is leaving early. If we win the NC then maybe, but all these guys were around to see what happened to all their teammates that chose to leave b4 they were ready.

Can't wait for Morris to leave honestly. Bash away

Pecos - Morris certainly has some flaws, particularly accuracy at times, but I think he'll be tough to replace.

accuracy is definitely not a flaw of Stephen Morris.... injury issues is his biggest flaw.

He has a pass efficiency rank of 12th in the nation.... Jameis Winston is 2nd and Tahj Boyd is 6th.

But he is 12th even though he hasnt played late in games early in the season and he has had an ankle injury.

Winston and Boyd stay on the field and pat stats against inferior teams, until the last minute, while Al has benched Morris when they've gotten a sizeable lead early.

Pecos is coming off like a clown b/c his expectations of Morris is to be Tom Brady even though he is better then 98% of the QBs in CFB

Its really too bad we had to waste the redshirt on Stephen Morris because of Jacory's suspension in 2011. I'm sure that's one of the moves that Golden regrets the most looking back.

Perryman will have a newborn baby by the time of the draft.
He will be 245lbs, one of the fastest lb's in the draft, and the strongest lb at the combine, and he has great tape.

So, with a newborn and a small bank account, you would turn down a winning lottery ticket?

He will definitely have some thinking to do.... but i know he will be a for sure 1st round pick if he comes back next year.

The baby thing is not that big of a deal, especially since we are only talking about a year.

Its just going to be a decision about whether he thinks he can move up more in the draft from his NFL combine performane.... WHICH HE WILL.

He is the strongest LB in the nation and he's one of the fastest.... he might go late in the 1st just on his combine numbers alone, after this season but thats going to be the gamble he will have to decide to go for or not.

Don't forget Kirby at LB. He's going to blow up next year.

oh definitely.... he's already looking like a stud when he's in the game.

I was just looking at the MLB position from a depth stand point... maybe Jawand Blue steps up over the off season and finally earns an appearance on the 2 deep.

I expect Tyriq McCord to improve which means we could have Figs and McCord at SLB, w/ Kirby and Armbrister competing at MLB, and Denzel Perryman and Grace over at WLB.

If Perryman leaves then Armbrister can go over to the WLB spot in front of Jermaine Grace. Hopefully Jawand Blue will step up during the off season.

Yeah I think Jawan Young is going to be a good one but it's far too much to ask him to step right in next year. Blue NEEDS to be a contributor.

I agree I just wouldve tanked the season w/ Mark Whipple's son at QB and kept Morris's red-shirt status but hindsight is 20/20.

This is exactly my point, the difference in payday between a 3rd rounder and 1st rounder is pretty big. Theyve all seen the direct result of not staying and improving your draft stock, plus finishing off your degree.

I see a completely different mentality from these kids, I dont see them being selfish and leaving their teammates when they know how much they can help next year. Especially Perryman, hes yet to even play in a bowl game.

You guys are talking like these kids are just going to stay the same and not develop at all lol. History has proven time and time again that most guys make their biggest impact in their 3rd season in a program. We currently have 22 guys on this roster in their 2nd season and 13 of those 22 are on this current depth chart. So if history repeats itself we could see a huge jump in talent at several positions.

2nd year guys
QB Gray Crow
HB Duke Johnson (Duke just keep being Duke)
WR Herb Waters (If Herb can become a better blocker and add a few pounds he will be very dangerous)
WR Malcolm Lewis (he should finally be 100%)
WR D'Mauri Jones (he will be the 2014 possession receiver)
TE Jake O'Donnell (he will be the 2014 blocking TE)
OT Ereck Flowers (he could be a top 5 OT in the nation in 2014)
OT Taylor Gadbois (this is a very big kid with a lot of talent and potential)
OG Danny Isidora (he will be in the 2 deep before this season is over)
DT Jelani Hamilton (he could add 15 pounds and be a athletic 300 pounder)
DT Earl Moore (he will be 320 by next season)
DE Tyriq McCord (if he can get to 250-255 he will be unstoppable)
DE Dwayne Hoilett (another year to learn better technique and he could be great in the DE rotation)
ILB Raphael Kirby (he has All ACC naturally ability, more development on the mental side and he will be great)
ILB JaWand Blue (he should know the defense well enough to provide solid depth)
CB Ladarius Gunter (although he will be a SR it will only be his 3rd season in this program. He is quickly becoming a lockdown CB and I see him taking another step next season)
CB Tracy Howard (he will be a lockdown CB by next season)
CB Antonio Crawford (better technique and he will be a difference maker)
CB Nate Dortch (if he can add 15 pounds he will be able to provide very solid depth)
S Deon Bush (All American if healthy)
S Rayshawn Jenkins (if he can improve in run support and he could be a All American)

If this list of guys just improve at a normal rate, we could be looking at the best collection of talent we have seen in a very long time.

I don't think you guys realize that the players with the most NFL potential on this roster are all 1st and 2nd year players. When those guys become grown men this team is going to be very dangerous.

Not hating but you are clueless.

If you post something like this please back it up with facts!

Can't wait for Morris to leave honestly. Bash away
My position on Morris has been wll established here the past year or so. Im not gonna go into it all over again for about the 4th time. If your interested in specifics you can look it up. There are many facts and opinions. Shouldn't be too hard to find

its all opinion b/c the "facts" that i've read on your views of Morris is all bs.... you dont even know what you're talking about.

and you wouldnt even win this debate w/ me so just let it go and accept that you dont have a clue.

Rang bells. That's past tense. And for all the wrong reasons. You spewed nothing but constant **** for over a year and I had to read it all. I feel like my opinions on Morris are justified based on the facts I've gone over many times here. You're one of the last people here I'd give a single fvck about if you thought I didn't have a clue. So that's fine by me dude.
