2017 - 2

2018 - 3

2019 - 3

2020 - 1, maybe 2

2021 - 6; very good group

2022 - 2

For the 26 class. Not to get to deep with it cause it’s hard to predict how some kids will turn out I’m not a scout. But three of the top5 ranked kids in Dade/Broward are currently committed to Texas and our top WR down here is committed to f****** Syracuse.

With that being said I think recruiting is much much better than it was under Golden and others. But we are still losing top guys. Jeremiah Smith will be added to this list in a few years and looked back at as another great one we missed.

Now I bet if I went back and did another one of these same tri county draft results from 2000-2005 it would be filled with pretty much nothing but Miami guys. With a few exceptions we lost guys like AnQuan Boldin and Chris Gamble here and there but the fact of the matter is that Butch Davis and his staff landed pretty much every kid they wanted in this area. Coker pretty much lived off of Butch’s success and continued to recruit high profile guys for a few more years but after 03/04 it all went downhill. Sure recruiting was different back then and a lot of the better players didn’t get national media exposure like they do today. But just look at Alabama & Ohio States rosters plenty of their recent success was from South Florida kids.
