Uh, you mean you forgot it?I’m too young to remember that game.

You could tell at the end of 98 that good things were on the Horizon...We knew we were back. But we showed the world we were back that day. Dorsey to Shockey, #1 goes down.
I expect a repeat of circumstances this weekend for the 20th anniversary of that beautiful moment.
Forgot what?Uh, you mean you forgot it?![]()

Reminds me of the Catalina wine mixerGreat memories. After that game I went to my first Columbus Day regatta. I had a great weekend!! Lol
I don't remember remembering.Forgot what?
Except a lot more topless girls!!Reminds me of the Catalina wine mixer![]()
Certainly a great win and should have led to a title shot against the Sooners but we all know what happened. That being said, that was not “the birth of the second Cane dynasty.” We won a title and played for another with Butch’s guys and the program started to decline with Larry. 83-92 was a dynasty, 4 NCs, played for 3 or 4 others in a decade. That is a dynasty, as good a 10 year run in college football history.I was in the Orange Bowl that day. The humidity was brutal and the concession stands ran out of bottled water. The Orange Bowl exploded after the touchdown to Shockey. The crowd noise almost caused an earthquake after Matt Munyon missed the kick at the buzzer. I remember the scoreboard said Wide Right III. It was unforgettable day. That day was the birth of the Second Cane Dynasty.
I always forget to remember.I don't remember remembering.
Except the long reception down the sideline after a bogus call and I’ll be happy...That Miami team started the season ranked #5. We're probably more like the '99 team. If we can give them a game like we gave Penn State that year then I'll be happy (I could totally see this team bust coverage to give up the game winning TD too).
#7 vs #1 too!
One of the all time greatest endings in the rivalry. From Davenport’s fumble to Dorsey’s final drive, the last 2:30 minutes almost killed me. Still watch that final drive once in a while.
Dorsey to Moss
Dorsey to Shockey

I remember UM fans tossing bottles at FSWho fans right after the game as they tried to run from the OB and mount buses.I remember my head throbbing for afters after that game. I’m sure, leaving club Space about 5am and going straight to the canal by The OB to start tailgating played a huge factor as well!! What a weekend!!
I very pound that I remembered that Canes are playing some wild animal team. See I was prepping for trip to target range to break in a couple back up ARs and I thought, dang these little bullets could stop any big game and boom - Canes are playing.I always forget to remember.
