2 quarterbacks we go after in portal

This is an incredibly lazy take. The 'bro style' offense crowd are the same mouth-breathing imbeciles that think we should be throwing the ball 60 times per game. Go watch Michigan or Georgia and tell me the big differences in our offenses vs there's. Outside of not having a potato for a QB, you won't find many.

Also, you can't possibly be serious on us not paying NIL.

1. Imma need u to pick a side; one minute u hate Mario & his philosophy, & then three threads later u’re trying to call the fan base out for agreeing w/ ur vents of the offensive philosophies!

2. Not one single poster on this board has called for us to throw 60x/game. Do u even know what “bro-style offense is?” Let me explain to u in point #

3. Bro Style is when u’re not just pounding the rock (pause), but u’re ineffective in continually pounding the rock. What does this mean? Glad u asked; it means either

a) u’re bleeding the clock trying to limit the opponents’ possessions, but u, urself, are not scoring. Thus, u’re putting ur defense in a vulnerable position

b) u’re down on the scoreboard, yet u’re running ur offense like u’re up 2 scores by running 8 minute drills vs. 2 minute drills in the waning moments of the game.

c) u’re not using said runs to develop play action passing to open the passing game

d) ur pass plays are dialed up to mimic the run game, meaning they are often in a box, resulting in either 2nd/3rd & long or 2nd/3rd and medium.

e) u’re calling timeouts at inopportune time just to trot out the same play allowing the defense to now be able to stop the drive, and/or create a penalty b/c the offense is overthinking vs. being in rhythm

4. Do us all a favor by looking in the mirror, smile, & then go slap urself for suggesting what we’re running out there is similar to what UofM & UGA r running. LMAO.

Any football purist know whether it’s Peewee, Pop Warner, High School, College, or the NFL the foundation of any offense is running the rock. From there everything else branches out; that has chit to do w/ the comparison u’re attempting to gaslight this board w/.

UofM is 5th in the nation in scoring offense, & UGA is 10th. We’re 37th & we’re steadily falling down the leader board in this category since ACC play.

UofM is 2nd in passing efficiency and UGA is 10th. We’re 43rd. Again, steadily falling down the leaderboard since ACC play.

Now this is the black eye on our offense vs. theirs:

-Even though we’re ranked 39th in rushing compared to UGA being 46th, & UofM being 50th:

a. UGA is 5th in time of possession & UofM is 10th. We’re 21st. Which leads to an even bigger issue & difference between the offenses:

b. UGA is 18th in RZ-Offense, UofM is 36th, we’re 69th.

All of this says we’re a less efficient offense from the teams u tried to compare us to by a country mile. Our run doesn’t compliment our passing, and when we get to the red zone, we come up w/ 3 instead of 7 more often than not. Our O is consistently putting too much pressure on the def to be perfect.

I’m not so sure many on this board watch other college teams besides either FSU, UF, or now Clemson & Texas A&M so that can look like we beat good teams. It used to be Colorado when Deion was hot, but that’s cooled off. Lmao.

Why would an elite QB wanna throw away his career to play for Mario? You gotta lower your standard cause were not getting them
You can’t blame Mario. TVD is just not the answer it has nothing to do with Mario. For gods sake look how much time he has had to throw the ball and still made horrible throws.

it's like they can't wait for the "oh we suck, nobody likes us" opportunities to pop up..... regardless how this season ends, Portal era can change your team in one off season... as said above... Top OL, Good WR's with FR talent coming in, and a stable of good RB's.. ohhh and living in Miami with a sweet NIL..
Well this will be Mario’s 3rd offseason so….

One of the best OL in the country to play behind. Solid receiving core. Don’t be ignorant. We landed D’eriq King out of the portal with worse skill guys and an OC in Lashlee, who like Dawson, had a lot of questions surrounding him

Lashlee didn’t have any questions surrounding him.

King no longer wanted to play in a pure Air Raid, and wanted something a little more closer to what Briles ran. Lashlee was perfect for him.

There’s no QB that is perfect for Mario’s 1995 Big Ten offense, and there’s no QB that is going to view it as a destination. As you said, the OL is **** good now. That’s worth 6 points.

There's quite a bit to sell to a QB:

1) You can compete for a starting job immediately;
2) WR position group should be more talented next year;
3) RB position group should be more talented next year;
4) OL should still be solid next year;
5) Beard's recruiting;
6) Dawson's overall resume;
7) Good DC means you'll have defensive help;
8) Best weather in the country;
9) No state income tax;
10) I should be an analyst.

Dawson’s overall resume? Bruhhhhh

Non Bro-Style = Mike Leach Air Raid
Bro-Style = Everything else.

If we're Bro-style, is Michigan Bro-est-Style? lol. It's all relative.

The real question is: Do we get a new OC first and let him pick a portal QB or do we do the opposite?

I know Gattis & Enos were let go. Lashlee left for SMU. What about other two? My memory is shot.
Richt in 18, Enos in 19, Lashlee in 20 and 21, Gattis in 22, Dawson in 23. I'm just saying if Dawson goes it will be 6 in 7 years.
