2 Q's: 1 for "Slurpers" 1 for "Mopes"

If we go 7-5, the Slurpers will act like it was 2001. They will scream about how mhe overcame diversity with a "freshman QB"

I hope all slurpers rot in ****. As bad as Radio slurpers.

If he wins the rest of his games, BUT has to have defense in the top 30 and offense at least top 25 also, heck make major defensive adjustments like no linebacker covering a slot receiver or any receiver for that matter ala base defense. Show some nickel and dime packages against spread. Don't have linebackers 8 yards back period.. its like they are expecting a playaction and sit in position to cover grass. attacking defense and offense, then i'll think about it.

Why the **** has Top 30 become the new defensive standard at Miami?

Another example of the lowered bar from a pussified fanbase, due to a pussified athletic department, administration, and president.

yawn!! it's not the new standard dumb*** it's what does he have to do to keep his job! we all know it's not "Miami Standard" gosh man read, if you even know how to!

Yeap the slurpers better prepare themselves to get thrashed all season

Mope here...

There's nothing conceivable this head coach could do to convince me he should stay. He's shown who he is, in every phase of the job for me (personally) to grant any pass. Truth is, from what we've seen in the past two seasons he is lacking in so many critical areas of the job description, there's no reasonable expectation this leopard can change his spots-- even to save his own ***.

If he remotely had any chance, he'd have kicked his buddy Dorito to the curb in the offseason on pure results. He chose not to. You reap what you sow. Coley I knew was a landmine just waiting to be stepped on- he showed himself on Monday night-- not that there weren't signs down the stretch last year that cried "Fire him."

I'll be 100% honest. There's nothing Golden can do at this point to sway my opinion of him. I don't want him or his "type" to ever be the head coach of my beloved team.

And by his "type", it's no way a racist statement...I'm talking about the style, philosophy, and overall approach to the game of football. What I'm trying to say is this...even if everything breaks perfect for a Golden coached team, even if everything he wants/needs to happen, happens.....we'll basically mirror a team coached by Dave Wannstedt.

Every game will be 16-13, 19-16, 13-10, maybe a 24-21 when things get a little crazy. My point is simply that his style of coaching lends itself to close games...and I'm just not a believer in this approach to the game. You get a team down, you step on their throat and go for the kill. You score on 2 possessions? You treat that 3rd possession like you never scored on the first 2 and definitely need one on this upcoming drive.

You don't play 7 yards off the ball with soft coverage...you don't consistently rush 3 and drop 8 into coverage....

Basically everything about his coaching style is the opposite of what I believe in.

I want this guy nowhere near my program. He needs to be gone as soon as possible. The very worst thing that can happen from this point out as that we go on a mini run and save this guy's *** and buy him another year.

It's a completely insane question, but just for the sake of asking, a 1 loss championship season is ruled out correct?

We need all bases covered.

I only likely to live in the real world...and in this reality there is a negative percent chance that happens. For that to happen, Golden would have to beat FSU, Nebraska, VTech, as well as Duke and North Carolina.

There's a better chance of me picking up Scarlett Johannson this weekend and taking her home.

We are talking about a head coach who is now 1-13 against the only 14 teams he faced that finished the season with 7 or more wins (yes I'm projecting UL to win 7, which I think is a fair statement). Him running the gauntlet would basically defy every law of math and probability.

Golden would have to stand up and say "I'm done bull****ting everyone. This **** stops immediately" pounding his fist in a DBC like rage. Then beat Nebraska, FSU, and VT. I know we will stumble somewhere else but we beat those teams and he shoulders some of the blame and stops jerking us around every ******* soundbyte, and I will be back on board.

If he shows he can re-invent himself and not be afraid to change philosophies, I'm all in with him. If he continues to trot out the same philosophy, as he continues to do, there's no reason for me to get behind him.

Mope of all Mopes. Speculate all you want but he isn't going anywhere. He has a contract through 2019 and the quicker we accept the fact that we are stuck with this non qualified used car salesman the easier it will be on everyone. Pretty safe to say that a lot of us wish we had the job security Al does and he flat out sucks at his job. Clearly nothing took place from a University leadership standpoint as Al hasn't changed a bit from last year nor has his staff. If anything its gotten worse and the man feels no heat as he is labeled a savior to UM suits for sticking with us when he could of bailed. You can bet your *** that Al is playing that card as hard as anything. That's the real problem and root of the issue.

We definitely need something dramatic, ala the USF game in Randy's last year. I don't trust the bumbling band of bafoons making decisions for this program to finally make a good decision. History says idiot's consistently continue to act like idiots.

Arkansas State could be our new USF, or better yet our new Penn State. There would simply be no recourse for any of the admins if we lose THAT game AT HOME.

Same **** as I said a while ago. We must win the Coastal, win at the very least 9 games this year, and have a respectable showing in our bowl game. That is the bench mark for me. In order for that to still happen, many many things must change from a philosophical standpoint, which I have zero faith in that it will happen.

don't disagree with the basic premise of your analysis... but would take issue with the second part:

1) You bet your *** he's feeling the heat-- it may not be hot/high enuf for him to be worrying about his finances or whether he can make his mortgage payment, etc., but with the public shaming that is building and the brutal critiques from all angles, make no mistake he hears it, knows it, and it's keeping him up at night. NO ONE wants to look bad or be called out to this degree-- in the public eye--or otherwise.

2) Many seem to think his "staying with us" when the **** hit the fan somehow incoculates him from any scrutiny within the administration. I have a much different opinion. You only hold a gun to someone's head ONCE. And when you assert your leverage (rightly so in his case at the time) don't think the parties involved "liked" having that gun at their temple (pardon pun). A savior sticks with you regardless, Fat Albert parlayed our admin's "less than forecoming" approach into a ridiculously lucrative extension--one that's got us by the short & curlies. So nobody in the Hecht is genuflecting at this guy given the results on the field. Publicly, sure they'll say ALL the right things. But they know they got taken, and have only themselves to blame. Doesn't mean they like it. Nor him.

Double digit wins. Beat every Coastal opponent. Get us to Charlotte with a chance at the Orange Bowl. Win the bowl game.

I think winning winning 10 games and not getting clowned will suffice i can handle balling out and losing a tight game but getting dogged and raped has to stop immediately not a mope or a slurper but im also not cool with whats happening
I'm with this. Team still needs some depth, and talent at a couple of positions. There is no reason to lose to any team other than FSU on the schedule. He's got enough talent to beat every team in the coastal. Make some adjustments, feed the team gun powder and turn them loose. Beat the **** out of GT, Duke, and VT to show us he can actually coach in D1, handle the teams he should handle, and then I'll agree that he's capable of actual improvement and not just recruiting. I really want him to do well, but that doesn't mean I wont land on him with two feet if he doesn't hurry up and get it done.
I can't imagine what it would take for UM to actually fire him mid season. That being said, he's got the rest of the season to go 10-2. If there's another loss other than FSU-
