#2 Miami Vs #1 ND, Nov 7.

I hope it's a top 5 matchup. I think with the Orange Bowl being the semi-final game this year, seeding is going to be important. With a chance to be a #1 or #2 seed, and to be able to pick the location for that semi-final, bye week -> Atlanta -> Miami would be a great postseason setup. Winning that game would get us there if we're both ranked high.

This is 2 months into the season. Miami will probably be somewhere around 8th to start the season. If we win every game in September and October, yes, we will be ranked in the Top 2.
We will win every game up to that point but I don’t know how voters will decipher that. We are the only team where head to head is even a discussion. Three loss Alabama with blowouts was ranked ahead of us last year. A mediocre SEC team along with Oklahoma was ranked ahead of us. Top 5, sure. But 1 and 2 is a little harder for me to see given how we are already 8 even after finishing 40 yards from a title.

We were ranked #2 in the AP Poll for 3 weeks this season, and #3 for another week. We spent a total of 7 weeks ranked in the Top 5. Stop this nonsense.

Both teams would obviously need to be 8-0 to even have a chance at a No. 1 v. No. 2 match-up. If we're both undefeated, I'd guess it's still at least a top 5 match-up.

NLame's 2026 schedule is pretty favorable for them. 10/17 they're away at BYU, and that's really the only challenging match-up on their schedule before our game.
We play 5 ACC games before 10/17, including a tough game at Clemson. Under Mario, we've started 5-0 in ACC play once (2024, then lost 2 of the next 3), and have lost at least 2 ACC games each season.

I'd say there's a fair chance it's a top 5 match-up, but it's by no means a sure thing. One game at a time mentality must persist.

Calm down lil mama. I don’t make the votes. He asked a question and I responded. Im not going to be upset what number we are ranked out cuz I know we spanking them boys. Gather your strength and direct whatever misery you got going on in your personal life to something constructive.

You responded with nonsense and got called out for it and got all defensive. Thankfully that’s not a textbook feminine playbook. Go back to bed and start over. You’ll get em next time.

I see you're getting dragged a bit, but the bolded and enlarged font above is worthy of discussion. Alabama was not a really good team this past season and did not deserve to get in. They got in because of their past legacy. They got in with rules for thee and not for me (us). They got in because the committee didn't want to penalize them for losing their conference championship game, yet did not apply the same logic and reasoning to BYU. Yeah, they beat UGa by 3 early in the season, but they also got SMOKED by a pretty lousy FSU team and lost to Oklahomo (same OU team whose only good win came against Michigan early in the season) before losing again to UGa in the SUC championship game. BYU lost two games last year - both to Texas Tech. They beat Arizona and Utah, Arizona won 9 games and Utah won 11.

I don't care about the details nearly as much as I care about the conflicting "logic" to justify why certain teams got penalized for losing their conference championship game and others did not, hence my commentary.

Now y'all can finna drag me too....

So me saying that im not sure if the voters will have us at number 2 when we meet Norte Dame is nonsense? That’s what’s sparking your anger? Like I said, relax baby girl. You came at me over something this petty, like a woman. I’d hate to see how you react to actual adversity. I didnt say we didn’t deserve it, I didn’t even say it wasnt going to happen, i said im not sure voters will have us at number 2 at that point, given that we rose the rankings AFTER beating Norte Dame, not before it. Ain’t no defensiveness, shawty. If you want to be right so bad, have it. Enjoy it. I just found it weird and excessive thats all and I will have a nice rest and good day. Be great, baby girl!

Now that the cry babies have a guaranteed spot if they are in the top 12, I doubt two losses will keep them out. Some of the most biased ***** made **** I've heard of.
Forgot about that, hmm yeah 2 losses def keeps them out. Think the committee wants them to join a conference
