We've actually had a nice 1st round run the past 3 years, with 4 players drafted in the 1st round. For comparison's sake, FSU has had 3 players drafted in the 1st round over the last 3 years.
2015: Flowers and Dorsett
2016: Artie
2017: Njoku
Can anyone on our team make it 4 years in a row? IMO, it'd probably have to come from the defensive side of the football. On offense, the only one with an outside chance is Mark Walton, but while extremely talented, is disadvantaged in that he's a running back and there's some serious talent likely coming out next year (Shaquon Barkley, Nick Chubb, Derrius Guice, etc).
On the defensive side of the ball, Delaney may have an outside chance, give that he's already received a draftable grade this past year, but he's currently rated the 10th best 2018 CB prospect, not including potential early deciders (next years juniors) and 1st round CB talent usually reveals itself by junior year. For example, 4 of the 5 CB's selected in the 1st round this year were Juniors. For me, it would have to come from one of our d-linemen, a position that benefits tremendously from additional years in college. I got:
(1) Chad Thomas
(2) Kendrick Norton
(3) RJ McIntosh
The obvious choices... Who ya got?
