1st Quarters in Richt era - Pathetic

The amount of statistical evidence highlighting the offense's ineptitude is too much to ignore unless you're Mark Richt and his band of yes-men, or an incompetent boob like Blake James.

Yeah but they do it intentionally. They like to toy with their victims before they kill them. Mark is trying hard to score but just isn’t up to it.
 
There is no surprise with this as it's evident that Mork doesn't scheme for opponents. We just run the same **** play after play, game after game. If we don't severely out talent the other team then it's an uphill battle all game. We have no schematic advantage or new wrinkles to give a particular defense fits.

You are really dumb. Lol We are 8-1 when scoring more than 10 points in the Richt era. And I’m willing to beat 8 out of 10 times if you go up 14-0, stats show that you are going to win the game. Unless you have Rosier who gift wraps 3 INTs.

100% it’s why despite such slow starts talent takes over and we won some games, especially last year. Problem is three years later, everyone and I mean everyone knows exactly what we are going to do.
 
End of half and end of game is sometimes more important than the 1st quarter.

We saw how slow the offense operated down big against UVA in the 4th quarter, and it happened again at GT.

To not have a 2-minute drill is incomprehensible, but huddling and using 30 seconds between plays when you need two scores with under 5 minutes in the 4th quarter is inexcusable everywhere but Miami, where losing is ok.

How many of those 8 games are against really really inferior opponents. I’m sure most teams win at least 80% of their games when they go up 14 plus in the 1st quarter..that’s not even the argument being had anyways. Games are not won in solely the 1st quarter. That’s the whole point. Idk why u even brought rosier into the convo. Of course u want to start good. But when you play good teams a 10-0 1st quarter spot is nothing

vs Georgia tech I believed we scored with like with 6:53 remaining in the game.

Vs UVA we scored with 3:04 left and all 3 TOs..serious question and I’m not even tryna be funny toward you, but did you play ball b4? Down 2 scores 8 min left for you what’s the goal?

If the offense had moved with some purpose on their final drive at UVA we may have scored faster and eliminated the need to onside kick. GT wasn't as egregious since there was close to 7 minutes remaining when we cut the lead to 6, but again there was little urgency considering the score was 27-14 when the drive began inside our own 10.

Against Virginia, we giftwrapped them that game. The defense had several brain farts on that drive that might have given the offense a chance, but with Rosier, those chances would have been very bleak.

Nah. There was no need for MR to onside it there in my opinion. Even the announcer were like just kick it and play D. But even then the D got the stop and then made a stupid *** penalty

Down 2 scores more than 6 or so to do go the objective is to score before the 2:30 Mark. Especially when u have a 3 TOs. You have to put a drive together. That’s why it’s called a 2minute offense. You got to that offense generally when it’s 2:30 or less and u need a score. If your down 2 scores with 7+ on the clock, yes you want to score as quick as possible but the D is not gonna be In prevent usually up two scores. Those 2 drives were executed as well as u can do them.

We play in one of the worst divisions in P5 conference against defenses like BC, UNC, FSU, Pitt, UVA and Duke. I’m tired of this crap man. Why are the people in charge of athletics doing absolutely nothing about this. Do they not realize the money they will lose when they can’t sell this brand. It’s all about the money but yet are so blind. Hopefully something is done after the bowl game, it has to be done.

BC, Pitt, Duke, and FSU usually have decent defenses. FSU is also the only the school who out talents us on a yearly basis so it's pretty silly to list them here considering they have the dogs to match us. ND has a decent defense and we've played them twice. Don't know why you ommitted Syracuse who has a below average defense or Georgia Tech who is also subpar. VT defense has been decent but had a terrible year in 2018 just like FSU.

I’m sorry what? BC, Duke, Pitt and FSU have good defenses? BC, Duke and Pitt probably don’t have a combined 5 NFL players on their D. Put them in any other division and you wouldn’t have a top 50 defense. Crazy when people say they have good defenses. Are we trying to be mediocre or getting back to elite. You even bringing it up is defending the ineptitude of Richt as a OC. I don’t care if we played Bama in those 30 games, 3 points or less in 19 games is putrid. Oh and the guy gets 4 million for doing that. Lol

Also, yes, BC only recently got rid of Don Brown and Piit's HC was someone a few of us wanted as DC. Duke also hasn't been a terrible defense. Funny how I bet your rebuttal to prove me wrong will be "the eye test" instead of actual production
