1st or 2nd year coaches right now

Stop saying elko. Duke sucks this year.

Kelly brought in a top transfer QB. That’s the key with any of these teams. Same with Washington. Both had/have more talent than Miami in key spots. Ppl don’t realize how bad mannys recruiting was.

Lincoln has been terrible this year with an NFL top qb haha.
Duke sucks this year but has the same record as us this year. Does that mean Miami sucked this year and really sucked last year? Elko also has way less talent to work with. Took players and coaches Mario didn't want and won coach of the year in the ACC last year and who knows if we would beat him this year.

Mario had the same opportunity to work the portal.

TVD went from an NFL draft pick to probably wouldnt start for half the ACC.

I didnt want Mario. I wasnt pro Mario. hes not napier.
I agree he’s not Napier. But he’s performing like he is…

Napier is 11-13 while playing in the SEC, Mario is 11-12 while playing in the ACC. We both play FSU on a yearly basis as well.

I think we can all agree if we had UF’s schedule, we’d probably be 5-6 right now or worse. But no one is asking Mario to go 10-2 right now, it’s just that this roster isn't a 6-5 roster. That’s where the frustration comes from. We’re better than this, and yet our record is our record.

Mario is off to a worse start than Shannon, Rick, Golden, and manny.

So respectfully, shut your pie hole, slurper.

Great. Where did all those guys wind up?

Shannon went 9-4 year three and then 7-5 year four, with an unforgivable loss to South Florida—after starting season No. 13 and falling at home to No. 23 Florida State, 45-17 when hugely favored to win that game.

Golden went 9-4 year three, back to 6-7 year four and was out halfway through year five after Clemson ate his lunch 58-0.

Richt—who you refer to as Rick—started 10-0 in year two, lost his final three and as 7-9 to close his career, ending with a 35-3 Pinstripe Bowl loss.

Diaz came in all tough guy with his "7-6" on the chests of tackling dummies, only to go 6-7 year one, bailed out by D'Eriq King's legs year two (but still getting clobbered but only two good teams Miami played that fall (42-17 loss at Clemson and rolled 62-26 at home by North Carolina)—a year after he started a hungover quarterback and lost to Florida International—going 2-4 out the gate year three and losing to a FSU team that was current 6-12 under Norvell in two years.

Let's see what this thing looks like after year four—not year two for a guy who was Miami's third hire in five years and sixth new head coach in 17 seasons.

If it's still 7-5 in 2025, we can all show up in the Gables and help the Cristobal crew with their packing efforts. Until then, shut your own pie-hole... "respectfully", of course.

Mrs cristobal stop trying to defend your ****** husbands coaching

Deboer took over UW from Jimmy Lake who was fired during the season in 2021. Their combined 2020/21 record was 7-9. Peterson’s last season was 2019 where they went 8-5.

Patterson was 23-24 in the 4 seasons before Dykes took over. And was 5-7 in 2021.
stop posting facts. Mario bros don't like facts, they like made up ish to fit thier corches narrative that we were such a dumpster fire that this year is actually a success

To be fair there’s a lot of narrative stuffing both ways. But idgaf in the end. Mario took a 7-5 team with some pieces and broke it. Now he’s 11-12 with the decent pieces manny left behind and his own hand picked guys. It didn’t have to be like this.

He’s been dog**** and horribly disappointing. can he get better? Yeah. Will he? I hope.

Which ones are actually doing great?

Everyone complaining about Mario please show me better coaches who took over **** rosters doing well in?

Louisville is 1 and their schedule is the weakest **** of all time
SMU? Who cares it’s a weak conference.

Now how many are struggling just like Mario. This is college football now. It takes a few year to turn around programs and rosters. That’s just reality.

Please share more coaches if you think of them.
You realize we lost to GT, NC State, L’ville, right. We can’t call any other team or their schedule weak.

Dude, none of those coaches were good and you just helped to prove my point even further - Mario is off to an even WORSE start than any of the bozo’s of the past. What does that tell you?

People in here talking about Tennessee looking solid like they haven’t been blown out by every decent team they’ve played (and Florida). All for being ****ed off but at least be consistent.

Oregon seems to be doing well. Duke. UL. DeBoer has UW top 5. USC is having issues this year, but year 1 should give their fans hope.

On the flip side we have guys like Napier and Mario, who are obviously struggling. Is what it is.

Duke is 6-5 and lost their starting QB.

Miami 6-5. Their starting QB is also injured and mentally checked out. So how is Duke a success. Neither Miami or Duke are a success at the moment which is my point
247 has Miami’s roster at #12. UL at #26 and Duke waaaay down the list.

If Duke isn’t a success, what’s Miami?

I believe Mario received a grade of D- last year from the football insiders. I think it was the lowest grade of any first year coach.

What do you think he will grade out this year?

Yep. Hopefully in 2025 Mario will have the talent to beat GT and the rest of the murderers row they face.

Last year TCU made the playoff year 1. The coaches at Kansas and Duke had much worse situations and had big turnarounds. None of those coaches are getting paid top 10 $ either. If you’re looking at the recruiting rankings then OK, Oregon, UT, Tenn aren’t much different than Miami, but are all looking like quality teams. I can’t remember how long the Missouri coach has been there, but he’s shown progress over the past couple years. DeBoer hasn’t been at Washington long (maybe 3rd year?). That’s around 9. We just got beat by another in Brohm. Kiffin has done more with less talent. I’m sure there are more. Stop looking for copium. Mario is falling flat.

Wait, you STARTED with TCU? 5-6 TCU? If anything, that proves the point he is making. You clowns would rather have one year of success right now than build a program for long-term success.

You write off Brohm‘s success because his schedule was easy” but left the part off of him tea bagging the guy you‘re making excuses for. Weird.

Tea bagging? The #10 team had to hold off a 6-4 team twice at the end of the game.

Remember this next year when Brohm doesn't have 24 year old 5th year players all over the offense.
