1999 Era Recruiting vs Today (Derailed Maason Smith thread)

I really do want to believe, especially since we already had our "he comin" moment with a 5 star in Marshall, but this reeks just like all the previous moments with "legit smoke" where we battle $EC schools.

I can't really argue with that - but if King leaves we're threadbare at the most important position in football.

Asking TVD to be the man when he's taken 2 whole snaps in college football is very risky (Perry is dead to me).
TVD will still be in Rhett’s offense. RBs will be better and so will the OL. Defense is where our concern is. We’ll probably lose our whole starting DL.

Question, when was the last time a 5* elite OOS guy came to Miami to play football?

Brevin Jordan was ranked #33 overall on 247 and #49 overall on Rivals in 2018.

Jeff Thomas was #40 overall on 247 and #57 overall on Rivals in 2017.

Al-Quadin Muhammad was #48 overall on 247 and #49 on Rivals in 2013.

And then in 2010, we had BOTH Seantrel Henderson AND Latwan Anderson...

Of those guys, Only Seantrel was a 5*. Anderson ... did he ever play at UM?

Jordan, Thomas, AQM were 4* kids.

I'm not going to go into this again.

Schools, handlers, boosters, etc. CANNOT "set up" anything for players. Players have to find their own opportunities, then submit them to the NCAA for approval.
Oh so that’s how it works I honestly didn’t know. But do it on thier own I got it😉😉😉
