Why are ya'll worried about the rankings right now? Tell me, who did we beat that gives us a right to argue about the teams ranking? Don't bring other teams who lost up either.

Imo the highest I could see us being is 15 so the rankings are pretty much on point.
Don't get it either. Seems like very fair rankings for a team who got smoked in its only matchup against a decent team.

Agree. We really need LSU to beat UGa next week. I don't think ND runs the table either, hopefully they'll have 1 loss and get left out, putting more pressure on them to join the conference fully.

As much as I hate it , we need FSU to best them

Because of recruiting and perception. You cannot make the argument that other teams shouldn’t be brought up when discussing rankings either. That’s the whole point, not something you can conveniently ignore.

That's a bad FSU team we almost found a way to lose to . 15th is about what we deserve until we beat a team with a pulse. We've played 3 high school teams after the LSU game so squeaking by an FSU team who already had 2 losses was never going to move the needle.

We have much bigger things to worry about right now to be honest. Specials are atrocious. Richt's play calling is an abomination from the depths of Hades, and our coaches still haven't come to the conclusion that Jones and Mahoney are garbage and shouldn't be playing, AT ALL.

We need to take the next 4-5 weeks as an opportunity to finally show some offensive improvement. We've been waiting for the offensive improvement for 3 years now so I'd say we're due.

So recruiting and perception is your answer. Well our perception is that we were overrrated coming into the season after how bad the loss looked against LSU. The recruits saw that first game and all after that. The best team we beat is fsu and that's in name alone because they aren't good at all and we had to comeback from 27-7 to do it.

Look if you want to argue that's fine but were do you think we should be ranked? I'm happy with our ranking now because I believe we'll get better and continue to win. The rankings will work themselves out but right now we don't deserve to be higher based on us alone. Remember a bad fsu team is our best win. Let that sink in for a few...

Perception is a fluid thing. We are seen as "overrated" now because we dropped so far. How far did Wisconsin drop after losing to BYU? Texas after losing to Maryland? Oklahoma after losing to that Texas team, and nearly losing at home to Army? Washington dropped 3 spots after losing to Auburn (who lost to LSU), and we dropped 14 spots after losing to LSU. Point being -- the pollsters control that perception.

I'd rank us somewhere between 10-15, but there are a few teams that clearly don't deserve their position and it's frustrating to see two sets of criteria being used to rank teams. Our loss to LSU cannot be forgiven, but Wisky's loss to BYU at home seems to not have happened, while playing a schedule worse than ours.

Okay we are ranked 15 in one poll and 16 on another. We are pretty much ranked according.

Texas dropped from 9 to out of the top 25 after their loss to Md. Washington lost 21-16 to the number 9 team. Do you really think that they'd fall more than they did? Wisconsin lost a 3 pt game and dropped from 6 to 18. That's a big drop. And Oklahoma lost by 3 to #19 Texas. They fell from 7 to 11. What are you arguing about really? Y'all need to take the homer glasses off.

I can’t believe anyone could sit here right now and complain about our ranking.

We are dead smack in the middle of a bunch of flawed but talented teams.

The number is irrelevant right now.

Your argument is circular. You can't argue the validity of the pollster's perception by using their perception as the reference point.

Washington lost to Auburn who now has two losses. Should Auburn even be ranked at this point?

Texas lost to unranked Maryland.

Wisconsin lost to unranked BYU.

We lost to #13 LSU.

Do the ranking reflect this? Why is Wisconsin and Washington ranked ahead of us?

We're not in the middle, there are 8 1-loss teams above us and 2 below us (Oregon and Kentucky).

Bullshxt should be at 11th right outside the top 10 at worst after that come back performance

Last year we crashed the week we reached number 2. Just keep winning and being ranked to low is the best thing for us. After those three losses to close last year we created a lot of doubt. We need to win out and beat Clemson. Then our brand will matter the most and carry us into the playoffs. Everyone knows college football is better with us in the hunt. The excitement last year proved it. We are fine. Just keep winning.

Calm down as I'm shocked we are in the top 20. I have NO signatures wins, the competition has been very poor, and we have ONE SIGNATURE LOSS. I'm ecstatic where we are ranked.

Now I'm getting double teamed. He's the one who brought all those teams in the conversation. I was just talking about Miami. I can use he's perception as a reference point because he told me to. Texas lost to an unranked Maryland team and fell from 9 to out of the top 25. Your view point isn't helping you.

Yes Washington should be ahead of us. Why shouldn't Washington be ranked ahead of us? They lost to a #9 Auburn team when the game took place. As far as Wisconsin goes we can be flipped but my point remains we should be no higher than 15th.

You're wrapped around yourself at this point.
