12 and Climbing ....

If BYU wins this week and loses the Big 12 title game they’re not getting left out.
Same for Texas Tech ... lose the B12 title game to BYU and they both get in. Not punishing anyone for losing title game.

Same for UGA too - lose title game and end up with 3 losses but will be in. Need GT to beat them.

Don't think you are correct. They used the excuse that it's a four team pod so H2H amongst two teams isn't as important as "ND passes the eye test".
I don’t know how they make the final decision. Remember these are just rankings for now, not the teams they’re choosing and the seeding. It’s all hypothetical. The fact we keep moving up says the CFP wants to give us an opportunity. I’d like to think when the season ends, they look at all the At-large contenders and make the decision then, and that’s when they’ll actually consider the H2H matchup with us and ND. Idk if just putting us ahead of them now is how it’s supposed to work? It’s all confusing tbh

Think this is setting up for us to jump Bama if they struggle with Auburn. "18 to 12" move signifies we're a team everyone should be afraid of.

Bama could win 2-0 and they are in

Here’s where I think us vs ND only comes into play. Bama wins out, including the SECCG. BYU loses. That puts us at 11. Bama beats TAMU they’ll jump ND. Then ND slides to 10 us to 11. Then it becomes a very legitimate question. You can say ND is better for CFP ratings and such, but those early year OOC games are absolute cash cows. You put a team who lost a H2H in then you’ll see more teams go the IU, Ole Miss, Oregon routes.

I think we only jump them if we can somehow get to #10.

If we jump them at #10 and #11 then they're getting eliminated and we're getting in. No way the committee does that.

They'll only let us jump ND if we're both safely in.

We play another top 25 team to finish the season and a chance at a 4th (at the time) top 25 win

If we get left off with that resume I really can’t defend this committees approach… they really assumed we would **** ourselves out of the playoffs but we are still in range to jump teams to get in… auburn playing bama super close can be a “bad win”

Joel Galloway was so salty when they talked about comparing Miami to notre dame and kept saying we were only better week 1. He's too biased.
Joey Galloway almost jumped the set to knock out booger McFarland when booger said Miami deserves to get in over ND. Joey’s hatred for Miami is real. He was visibly shaking with anger and said Booger’s stance wasn’t reasonable.

The committee has now jumped us over 2 teams recently; Vandy and Utah. If we beat Pitt convincingly we could jump BYU next

I think we jump byu with a win. But that only puts us at 11. We need to get to 10. Who is the committtee going to bump to put us at 10? Bama? Lols

ND ain’t moving down.

at least part of it is elevating NDs resume. If miami actually isn't that good then there goes one of NDs "quality losses"
