Because, by and large, this fanbase (every fanbase actually) isn't reasonable. I remember the days when Butch got the same hate Mario's getting right now. Remember the Syracuse beat down in 98' or the god-awful ECU loss in 99'? Nope, because the story had a happy ending.

Today's loss was inexcusable. Mario has a **** of a challenge ahead of him, but every UM coach that ended up mattering had some terrible loss like this. It's part of the process, we were 28-21 over the past four years. Is Mario gonna work out? TBD. Is he done for? Absolutely not. We're four games into a new staff. How we respond to this against UNC will determine our year.

Because those people were idiots...two COMPLETELY different situations. Butch left UM with the Greatest Collection of Talent in NCAA History....Mario won't come close to that, even without adverse conditions.

Here's what Butch gave and left for UM....Every single player was his....Lol at comparing what Mario has had to deal with in comparison to what Butch dealt with.

They both inherited ****** situations. We're 28-21 over the last 4 years. We are not a good program and haven't been for 18 years. The same stuff people are saying about Mario tonight is identical to what they used to say about Butch. It's a blast from the past. Hoping that the story ends up the same too. How Mario ends up here is TBD, but there's some precedence on inexcusable losses around here. I'm ****ed, but we gotta see how this season plays out.

What I've wanted is a guy who does more with less. Not a coach who does less with more.

I also wanted an offensive guy. One who dictates what happens and can pressure any defense all over the field. You want to drop two deep safeties, we'll run on you and knickel and dime you to death. You want to come up and stack the box, I'll spread you out and pick you apart. Someone who is full throttle from the word go, **** TOP, etc. I will score every time or try to. Someone who is unpredictable, but moves the ball on most.

I hate our OC. He does none of the above and leaves half the field vacant of an option. He rolls guys out for no apparent reason other than its one of the dumbass plays he dreamed up. Not only does he do that, but he even does it to the short side of the field with 3 WR's over there. He actually helps the defense half of the time, it's insanity.

Okay, I don't hate him, but I hate his playbook and play calling.

Butch inherited a MUCH worse situation...not even in the same ballpark, with sanctions too boot. And his depleted 95-97 teams still played with more toughness than this garbage.

I lost it when he rolled out a right handed QB to the left. It looked so awkward. Then you got a guy shifting, qb hikes the ball, hands the ball off and pretends he is giving it to his back and collide. Then you got all the plays at the 2 yard line and never take a shot at the end zone, run a fade, run an rpo, toss, option ***kkk do something except passing the ball before the goal line.
