I was on record of saying **** running lets get the pass game on going bc we need the reps. its a scrimmage lol. oh boy. we couldn't run, we couldn't pass, we couldn't block, we couldn't catch, we couldn't coach. we will never win a single thing w this staff unless we hire a guru on offense. we'll need Kliff when hes fired to be our OC and hope he can save Mario from himself

The majority of the board became enamored w Mario, the alpha masculine Cuban man... despite lackluster results in the Pac12 during it's weakest period (UW and USC super down). This smells like a Golden phenomenon: looking good/decent over lesser competition and the admin (and this time, the board) becoming enamored with the persona & potential. In classic Miami style we all dreamed of waking up to Mario spooning us, ignoring the giant bottle of benzos next to the bed that is his offense and schematic approach to the game. Homeboy needs tons of wrath and negativity to reinforce any consideration he has of bending his attitude. Good luck, slurpers!

Dude I believed that the investment in guys like Steele, Mirabel, and Strong would mean we had a much more superior staff over the previous one and at the very least get 2 more wins than last year. I had no idea that we would be looking at a regression when it came to coaching.

He was Shocked...we didn't talk long. I'll see him next month. He only lives 10 miles from me. He likes Mario....he liked him as a GA. Christ, he gave Mario his start. Butch won't bad mouth him..even in private. That's not who he is. He still Loves UM...and always will.

I didn't expect him to bad mouth Mario. It would be interesting to hear his insights into our situation and how he would go about things in this situation. You can PM me that if you guys ever have that discussion. Is he completely retired from football? What is he doing now? Would be nice to have him in some type of role here.

Just relaxing...his home is beautiful. He also has other properties. Yeah, he's done with FB "Coaching"...as far as a consultant??, I'm not even convinced he'd be interested. I do know Mario hasn't approached him with any offer. But they do speak. Butch would have absolutely No problem helping out a UM HC....but he's been shunned since 2000 in that respect. He has no vendetta against UM. Did it irk him that he wasn't given another chance prior to 2017??...Of course...who wouldn't be. He had an ELITE staff standing by from 2013-2016 to come with him back to UM...But to no avail...He has nothing to prove, nor does he owe UM anything. He was handed a bowl of Sh*t....and 5yrs later he gave UM not only the GOAT NCAA team, but a Blue Print on how to keep the train rolling.

Bonita Springs right? I love that area and I'm sure he has a beautiful home. He's one guy that I would love to just sit and chat with about football not just to pick his brain but to hear his insights into the game and his experiences. I'm sure he has plenty of great stories to tell. I envy you lol.

Yeah, Bonita Springs...love talking with him. Spent hrs picking his Brain back in the day. More defensive talk of course, but that's his Forte as it was JJs.

I am here 10-2. I was wrong. Did anybody here think TVD would not be able to hit the ground? After last week did anybody think the defense would give up 400 yards passing? If anybody did they kept it quiet. Its the same movie with the same ending. An inferior team walks into hard rock punches Miami in the face and Miami hits the canvas.

I'm not so much picking on everyone in General...just the ones who were adamant about 11-1 or 10-2 to a degree of lunacy.
I knew there wouldn't be either halfway through the A&M game.

I have been known for being an idiot many times but I think it’s arguable that 95 Defense (I wasn’t a fan of that scheme then) was more talented than ours, today. I don’t think GS (I don’t event know who we played yesterday) does that to that Defense. Perhaps, the talent level is not to the level of the 94 Defense but still had some dogs.

When I say this, do not take it as I am defending the coaches, because I am not but after witnessing what I witnessed in person, yesterday, i am seriously concerned about our talent level in many areas.

I KNOW the 95 team beats this team...but they'd do it, with less talent on paper. And minus 11 schollies.
