You're missing the point. None of that mattered to anyone until years later. AT THE TIME, I repeat, AT THE TIME, people wanted Butch to be executed in front of Hecht. You people don't learn. Mario's tenure isn't defined by the first four games any more than Butch was defined by the first four years when people hated him

You're actually proving my point. All of that was true about Butch, but no one was saying it while he was losing.

Like i said early on. I like mario but it all depends on coordinators. He made terrible hires.

He better realize it fast.

Butch lost, fans hated him. Didn't realize he was a good coach until years later.

In 1997, Butch played with 64 scholarship players, D2 level. His Only losing season.
By 2000, one of the greatest teams ever assembled.
He wasn't good, Butch was **** good.

WE KNOW THAT NOW. When he was losing, people hated him. Just focus on that sentence for a minute. With Mario, we are living in the present as though we were complaining in 1997. But now we know that the complaining in 1997 was stupid.

How is this escaping you people?

In 1997 we hated our coach and wanted him fired. We were stupid.
In 2022 we hate our coach and think we made the wrong choice after four games.

But you people don't see what could be happening all over again.

Mario has NO excuses for losing today...NONE....Mario has wayyyyy more to work with than what Butch had in 95. Stop it....Butch was a 1st yr HC in any capacity. Mario isn't.
