Wanted Gary Patterson for 5yrs...and I wanted him before Richt. And Stoops as my 2nd. Not hating on Mario...but his inability to change his offensive philosophy will be his undoing.

Hmmm. Would have loved Patterson years ago too, when JJ recommended him. Still would. You can tell he was adaptable when we went to a spread offense at TCU, even though he’s a defensive-minded HC. He knows you can‘t win games sitting the ball, 17-14.

No I picked 9-3, but that still has nothing to do with the point of the post.

Ok so that I’m not a total *** to you, I will say that I always thought 10-2 was a possibility. But a possibility in the same way Vegas gave us a possibility of winning it all this year. I think it was like .06%.

10-2 meant absolutely no injuries. Everybody played better than last year, and almost every bounce would go our way.

There’s just waaaaaaaaaaay too many things that had to exceed expectations to achieve that lofty goal. Factor in Miami is known for playing down to its competition and dropping a game it should (Cristobal the same as well) and I just simply thought it was ridiculous.

Oh and too many people always think we’re absolutely going to win the Coastal (which is still possible) and be 10-2 every season regardless of coach or players on the roster during the off-season.

Nothing is wrong with feeling optimistic at all brother. Nobody wants you to apologize either.

Regardless of today there still may be light at the end of the tunnel. It’s just clearer and clearer that this is a rebuild instead of a “we have everything we need except for the right coach.”

We don’t have everything we need. At least not yet. And I think you and I will agree we believe Mario will get us close to that point and hopefully **** up and actually do it.
