Smh 11-1? Yeah this why the offseason hype posts about everybody turning a corner (which admins here are behind) need to stop. People here buy into that **** and expect players to be something they never will be. Then the board erupts into chaos when the sunshine pumping turns out to be horse ****.

Wanted Gary Patterson for 5yrs...and I wanted him before Richt. And Stoops as my 2nd. Not hating on Mario...but his inability to change his offensive philosophy will be his undoing.

9-3 was my prediction. After it being pounded that manny and staff sucked and this was all world new staff. We won 7 games. 3 loss by 8 points. Defense was the issue mostly. We had a universally respected DC now. huge improvement in DL. A new life injected. how could I not see that? Now that I’ve seen the product , lol.

I said 10-2. Its simple. Mario got paid a lot and received even more resources. He had plenty to dominate our side of the ACC and our non conference cupcakes. He failed. That’s it. No need to argue or sugar coat it. The man failed year 1. His move now. What’s he gonna do to turn it around?

Here's a fact:
OP would have wanted Butch fired after losing to UCLA opening game in 1995, after losing losing to East Carolina in 1996, after going 5-6 in 1997, and after losing to East Carolina again in 1999. If Mario losing to MTSU in the 4th game of his first season after the Diaz dumpster fire, no way, OP would have been patient with Butch. And I don't care at all how old OP is or who he knows. He would have wanted Butch gone too.
 
I had us losing the A&M and then MTSU because of the hangover L. Expect us to go undefeated the rest of the way now. Gattis will go uptempo, Garcia will hit the open WRs, Parrish's injury won't be severe, Mallory won't have to block ever again, K. Smith will develop to a #1 WR, Graves will emerge in the CB room and take over for Ivey, Wes will start at LB and fully ready to go, Skinner will play more as well as Arroyo, Knighton will be full go, and Mario will figure this whole complicated clock management thing out.

I was one of the 10-2. And? What's wrong w/ feeling optimistic after almost 20 years of ***** fests. Am I wrong now? Sure seems like I'll be by a good margin. But I won't apologize for wanting us to be a great program again when so many things were looking up for a change.
