What's the point in making a big announcement if it's Patke who has been out recruiting for months?
 
It makes no sense to wait until now to announce Patke. They could have done that weeks ago. I think it’s a guy who is at another school and wanted to wait until signing day was over to make the move.

Lol. That would have to be a major program to ask the coach to stay through NSD. Do you actually think thats likely?
 
I don't think it's Patke. Richt had that tweet on January 26th about great news but hasn't announced anything. Patke was already out recruiting before that. At least I hope I'm reading the tea leaves correctly.

There is some serious help needed on the trail with the defensive staff.... Patke would yet be another no name on the defensive side of the ball besides Kul and Diaz. This hire is crucial, it needs to be an ACE
