10th coach suggestions

We need a guy with a lot of spread O experience.

Richt, Searles, Brown, and Hartley all have prostyle backgrounds.

If we're recruiting dual threat guys and trying to transition to more of a spread look, then bring in a spread guy.

Ed Reed has little to no experience. What's the obsession w hiring former players who have no experience coaching?

Alot of fans see our former greats giving some great pre-game pep talks and they think they are a qualified and/or interested
in becoming a college football coach.
Ed Reed coached for the Bills with Rex Ryan & did more than just give a pre-game prep talk, he helped out a lot for Notre Dame during the week. He was actually in on team meetings, watched film with the DB's & was at practice the whole week.

He's said on 2 separate occasions this year that he would be interested if Coach Richt needed him.

I'm usually against all-time greats coming in as coaches. This is usually because they're just really talented along with possessing a really strong work ethic compared to their contemporaries.

If you look at Ed Reed though, he didn't contain the athleticism that other Miami greats had, like Sean Taylor. But he more than made up for it with instincts and knowledge.

Ed Reed would no doubt be a strong hire.
