Sure was. He ended up being one of my all time favorite Canes.

That play above where he fought through 2 or 3 defenders and dragged tebow down by his pads and hurt him was epic! Wish I could find the gif of it. LOVED ME some Spence!! Still rock his jersey on most game days. Actually I'm weird and I rotate between 3 different jerseys while watching games. Don't ask. LOL

A lot of these trading card companies never bothered paying for licensing rights from the College Football Association or the NCAA. I've got a bunch of old football cards like that.

You’re right, Darryl Williams is one of the greats and he does get lost in the shuffle when the greats are discussed. Maybe because he wasn’t flashy or outspoken and just did his job. But he did it well.
